Listen to those chords. She's brilliant. I know she has people she writes songs with, but she still has to embrace their suggestions and learn how to convey their ideas. She's basically playing jazz-prog-pop. Insane stuff.

Going into the concert, I had the same hesitation. Then I watched her NPR Tiny Desk Concert. I figured it would be pretty chill, and it was. The bass player was awesome. 🔥🔥

Likewise. Then, I saw a photo of her hanging out with Michael Enziger of incubus. I thought to myself, that’s odd. Then, I saw the comments of incubus fans praising her & I was like, okay. I’ll give her a shot. I listen to a lot of different genres of music. I was pleasantly surprised. Happy to be wrong. She’s pretty awesome.

Sometimes Nepo Babies can surprise you. They aren't under heavy pressure to be commercial, so they can just do what sounds and feels good to them. And for Willow right now, that consists of doing stuff that's half jazz, collaborating with a killer band, and letting them off the leash. Ever hear Sean Lennon or Dweezil Zappa? Neither of them are any slouch .

I would agree. Just watched footage from yesterday's set at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Josh did not sound great during Meeting the Master. I thought it might have to do with the heat but then I watched this. I will be seeing them in August in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They blew me away back in 2019 when I saw them in Vegas.

@@Tityretupatulae League of their own doesn’t really mean good or bad one way or the other. I will agree that I appreciate their talent and absolutely love their early releases but if I went to see this live I’d be greatly disappointed. Some will tell you that Tool is boring live also. Just not much going on there. To each their own I suppose. Not really sure what a “normie” is either. If it’s in reference to “normal” then I guess that’s also up to interpretation as well

All that glitters is not Josh. 😂 The three of them did a masterful jam, filling the space and working in and out of the melody in seemless sections. Great piano, Sam! Perfectly placed. Love this tasty bit of guitar from the man in glittering black! Beautiful flow. And of course, without Danny, it would lose all cohesion. Tremendous instrumental foray, guys. To the camera operator: great job; really good sound quality. Thank you so much for sharing this gem!❤❤
