Thanks Matthew, great video. Can you just import the layout of the actual sky130 transistors and just connect them? Or these layouts are not available in the PDK?
@rjordans2 жыл бұрын
Magic has an option to import a spice netlist which will give you all the transistors in your design. But so far I haven't found a nice way of using that. There's things like contacts and guard rings added that you probably do not need and I haven't found a nice wat to remove them without getting into a while lot more work than it would be to just start drawing them by hand. For now, the manual method simply gives you much more control and results in much nicer layouts for me

Did you make this? I have a kikkerland solar rainbow maker but was wondering if I could make my own with stuff I have around my house.
@matthewvenn3 жыл бұрын
they're a bit hard to make to get a nice effect. The most usual thing is that it takes a lot of sun to start working and then spins around madly.

Do you have a vim workflow with the dygma raise that you'd be willing to share? Just ordered mine, I'm a bit of a vim newb, and it'd be awesome to get some layout ideas from someone who knows their way around vim better
@matthewvenn4 жыл бұрын
no, I just use vim keybindings. One thing I've done is on the 2nd layer map the cursor keys and page up/down/home/end keys to where they are in vim. So I get the same movement controls on all other programs.

Hi! This looks quite amazing, do you consider the project "finished" or is it stull under development? =)
@matthewvenn4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's finished but I don't have much energy to continue development. It works pretty well. I was thinking of adding another audio ADC/DAC so I could have 4 mono inputs. Also the teensy4 should work as a USB sound card so it would be cool to use it to record the output directly.
@DJDiskmachine4 жыл бұрын
@@matthewvenn Yeah that'd be really nice, I've considered a solution like that as a DJ soundcard =) I've been looking for a small stereo FX unit like this for a long time, I'll check out the kitspace page and order some parts =)
@matthewvenn4 жыл бұрын
@@DJDiskmachine cool. Let me know how it goes. A friend had a lot of problems soldering the QFN package CODEC. So it's probably not a great project unless you have experience with SMT parts.
