I am confused. My college provides free courses on drone pilot and programming. If a drone flies by the program why is the pilot required with 107 Tests? For programming tests not needed? I am in FL.

The term drones are UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) which means no human pilot involved and are automated flying vehicles...

o AirSpeed: Not affected by wind. o Ground Speed: Directly affected by wind (increases with a tailwind, decreases with a headwind). o AirSpeed: Critical for aerodynamic performance, flight safety, and control. o Ground Speed: Important for navigation and estimating travel time.

Coming together thanks to you: GCS, ArduPilot, SITL (Virtual Drone), Pixhawk. Will try virtual drone and then buy hardware drone after I test out. Thinking of getting the Eachine E520S hardware drone.

Things get confusing with so many options, especially as things change and become obsolete.. ( ArduPilot Pixhawk Px4 Multiwii->Baseflight->Cleanflight->Betaflight / EmuFlight / iNav RaceFlight One -> FlightOne (FalcoX) MissionPlanner -> QGroundControl OpenPilot->Librepilot , DRonin MavLink ) Is there any set of hardware that works for both ArduPilot/PX4 and Beta/EmuFlight/iNav? From what I can tell there are 2 classes of hardware, the larger Pixhawk boxes, and the small-square-stacks (STM32F/H7 like the Speedybee F7V3, Mateksys H743, Kakute H7 V2).. so what setup would allow trying several firmware projects? I understand Betaflight is popular among FPV racing, and ArduPilot and iNav for autonomous/waypoints, however I'm mainly interested in: 1) Autonomous Flying (Waypoint, Lua scripting, Return-To-Home) 2) Sport-Tracking/Obstacle Avoidance (like the Skydio2+) 3) FPV and free-style / flippy-flops And how does a custom DIY build with any of the above compare to the performance of commercial offerings.. Eachine E520S , Skydio2+, Mavic Air 2S , or Yuneec Mantis Q?

airspeed only measures the speed of the aircraft relative to the air, while ground speed measures the speed of the aircraft relative to the ground. For example, if an aircraft is flying at an airspeed of 100 knots and there is a tailwind of 20 knots, the ground speed would be 120 knots, as the aircraft is moving forward relative to the ground at a faster rate. On the other hand, if there is a headwind of 20 knots, the ground speed would be 80 knots, as the aircraft is moving forward relative to the ground at a slower rate.

The terms "UAV" and "drone" generally refer to the same type of technology, and there is no significant technical difference between them. However, the term "drone" is sometimes used in a more colloquial sense to refer specifically to small, consumer-grade UAVs that are often used for recreational or hobby purposes. On the other hand, "UAV" is often used in a more technical or military context to refer to any type of unmanned aerial vehicle, regardless of size or purpose. But both are basically the same thing: an aircraft that is operated without a human pilot on board.
