This is a fantastic rendition of Richard Thompsons emotionally charged song. I LOVE this! I just saw Richard last week in Kent.

Btw, and fyi... unless my memory is much mistaken (which is an eminent possibility at my age!) that same Vincent held the world land-speed record for a motorcycle back in the day! A classic bike and a classic song!

Yes a great cover. Only, I think they got one of the other British bike brands wrong - an easy mistake if one is not familiar with 50-60s British machines. It is Beesers for BSAs. Thompson's clever song writing managed to get all these competitors in, including leather clad angels riding on Ariels. Just genius.

Vincents. Legendary bikes. Black Shadow probably the best name ever. The Black Lightening almost mythical. We baby boomers were so lucky.

First time I've heard this sung by girls, and it's a whole fresh song from this perspective. And their vocals and instrumentals are beautiful!

Brilliant song - I first heard it at the 1989 Cropredy Festival in Oxfordshire, which I think was its first performance. This is an EXCELLENT version. It's almost as if Americans can perform it more 'authentically' than English people, which is strange because Richard Thompson is very English, but true. Very good!

Thank you!!! Live versions of the magnificent "Wildflowers and the Graveyard "album are very rare, and to my knowledge this is the only version of this song that can be found on KZbin. You can appreciate the richness of Amber's guitar playing, especially when you consider that she started learning the guitar at the age of 21. Thanks again for this recording!

No, the song didn't need to still played in 2 years because after only 1 year, it's exactly what is going on here in TN. My last state rep is still under FBI investigation. The current reps literally shut down any discussions of common sense gun control by any means necessary. Feels like 1 more step toward fascism.
