Hi Alan Your videos made see another side of you. Definitely not the cocky confident American I first met. Your songs gave me a grip on the pain you have suffered. My respect for dealing with this through music and getting on with life. Knowing now how much your music means to you as an expression of your emotions, my attempt to get you into Nightwish seems so trivial. I am no music genre expert, but with you seemingly being country orientated, metal music may not be to your taste. A caveat here: not all metal singers scream manically. The are many subgenres including Symphonic Metal, which I am hooked on. This genre is progressive, melodic and tries to combine the classics with modern rock instrumentation. Here is an example of this mix. Shoemaker is a song about Eugene Shoemaker who was a planetary scientist and was a candidate astronaut to go to the moon. Health concerns ruled him out and he subsequently died in a car accident. In a later Apollo mission some of his ashes were placed on the moon "for eternal earthrise and wonder", quoting from the song. So we are not talking about manic primeval screams here, but rather a very touching story by Nightwish. Please listen, enjoy and appreciate. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJvTkHecq6-co8k
