Great Punk/Hardcore collection Tony! Both these genres are a big part of the blueprint for Metal, so I'd say they're more than worthy of being part of the Metal collection. I've never gotten into these genres much, not really sure why. I think I prefer Hardcore Punk to regular Punk, always kinda struggled with it in the past. I love the ferocity of Hardcore, you can hear it in a lot of Metal that I like such as Thrash, Crossover, Metalcore and Grind. I would definitely like to check out bands like Agnostic Front, Discharge, Minor Threat and The Exploited etc. Look forward to your final episode on your CD collection! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻

Nice crap Metal collection Tony! I love some Lamb of God, great band! Haha, I'd be embarrassed to show some Linkin Park too, hate them! Pantera are awesome, love Cowboys from hell and Vulgar display of power. Slipknot are great, All hope is gone is my favourite album. Hearing Corey Taylor's son Griffin's band Vended is like going back in time to 2000's Slipknot. Later Soulfly is really good, very much like Cavalera Conspiracy. That's cool you have some Suicide Silence, that debut EP is really hard to find, it's quite rare indeed! Love their first 2 albums with Mitch. Never heard of Odds of an Afterthought, that's cool you played with them! Cool to see some early Whitechapel, never really checked out their early albums. Nice one! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Good mix of styles. I saw DT play that album in its entirety on their US tour a few years ago. It's really the only album I like from them. Under a Glass Moon is a killer song! Die With Your Boots on over Revelations? 😮 Check out the live versio ln they did on Flight 666...it's pretty epic. Great album though!

Big Deep Purple fan,but im not a fan of Burn or Stormbringer albums. Fireball would be my favourite earlier album,but the comback stuff is up there with my personal favourites Rapture of The Deep is really good,Now What?! Is really, really good as is Whoosh. Infinate is ok,but not as good. You would probablly like Now What?! Its really Underatted.

Hey, Tony. What does the prefix proto mean as in proto metal? I don't get that at all. Explain it to me, please.
@lifeeternal9823Ай бұрын
It’s kind of hair brained to be honest. I use it as more of a mental category rather than an actual genre. I use it to refer to the bands that guys in the early 80s would have sited as influences on them. Hard rock with a heavier tone usually. Like thin lizzy isn’t metal properly but they have a lot of the building blocks of what would become NWOBHM stylistically speaking
@robertsparling917Ай бұрын
Is the non-metal stuff after proto-metal?
@lifeeternal9823Ай бұрын
@@robertsparling917 ive got 5 more installments before any of the proper non metal stuff! Next episode will be the other half of proto metal, then hair metal, then what I call crap metal, then punk and hardcore, then odd shape CDs and box sets!

This is a great shirt video! I've got like 200 band shirts but had to start a new one because they're all too tight now I'm more like L & XL. La Fin Du Monde is just an average priced beer in Canada. I love it. It means End of the World

I'll be on the lookout for the early Lacrimas Profundere albums. Deceased discography is great I do prefer the first two myself. I'll have to revisit Swallow the Sun. I see you had to slip in some Whitesnake at the end 😂🤘🏻🤘🏻

Damm, classic after classic!! I need that Tytan album in my life for sure. Love to see Riot represented. Check out Born in America next if you want a little sleazy street rock. That Savage record is a ton of fun ...it's in constant rotation here. I see a lot of High Roller releases pop up in the Nameless Graves distro for a decent price and they have sales pretty regularly too.
