During your life in the army, one should be equipped with life serviving skills, like driving haulage tracks, plumbing, electrician, road construction, brick laying, railway works, fire fighting etc. Also you encourage civilians to do part time in the army. Like Drs, nurses, teachers etc like they do in Britain, USA, Isreal etc. They come in when the country needs them
