Dont have to kill him. You just need to collect shock arrows. To to provoke him into shooting those arrows. Also do the gerudo thing 1st so you can get the thinder helm which should protect you from the lightning. This was the 1st i did too and had trouble with it. I always had taken a liking of the water challenges and always seem to hate the fire challenges for some reason. I wnded up regretting it. I should've taken the time to hunt shrines as well. Its hard to doge as well. I fpund it easier to combat him with parrying his attacks and i couldnt do it at 1st bur when i decided to try him again recently i was suddenly able to parry against him.

I didn’t fight this lynel when I did the shock arrows mission, I just grabbed the arrows while hiding from the lynel because I did not know how to fight it my first encounter with a lynel was at the coliseum and he killed me lol 😂 so I already knew I did not stand a chance vs this one either later when I finally decided to face a lynel it was a blue lynel I found near the ocean, that was my first lynel kill, I felt so happy when I killed it lol 😂

This was impressive! I got frustrated after being killed five times and looked up tutorials on how to kill those things 😅

That's an impressive learning curve! My Lynel experience wasn't pretty, but I ended up favouring the perfect Shield Parry to stop his attacks and give an opening to shoot him in the face! If hit right, that should stun him and leave him open to attack... and if you want to save your weapons, you can even mount up on him whilst stunned to whale on him that way!

This was harder than some boss fights, i was stuck on this for like an hour before i locked in and played this like dark souls

I absolutely can't trigger flurry rushes at all and my experience with lynels is the higher tiers are still a problem even with very high defense

I finally got around to watching this episode. It's a real shame that so few have given likes to these videos.. Glad that you're having fun with this, I do really enjoy listening to your narration! It's as soothing as the game. And by the way, looks like you wrote Hyde's name instead of Gala's in the title and description, though "very attractive 10/10" certainly applies to both 😅

Choosing my faction was definitely a tough decision for me. I love Grindania's layout the best, but I can't stand their leader's pacifistic attitude (to the point of even ignoring both those who threaten everyone and those in need). I love Raubahn as my favorite leader because, despite all the problems Uldah has (rampant corruption, a massive divide between rich and poor, and serious racism from the lalafells and hyrue to everyone who isn't one of these two), he really tries his best to do what's right for everyone. I also love his relation with Namo, how much he clearly cares for her despite literally being a giant compared to her. But Uldah easily has the most aggravating layout of all the cities. And as for Limsa... I love their leader (who I simply cannot spell the name of, for the life of me. ^^;;), she's great and you can clearly see that while she is definitely a pirate captain at heart, she's still a very good person who just wants the best for her subjects. However... They have the same problem as Uldah. In addition, I find their flag annoying uncreative and simplistic. In the end, I chose the Immortal Flames (Uldah) because I just love Raubahn as a leader (and my character is very much fire themed, so being a "flame solider" feels right). A fun thing is that (and think this goes for all other factions as well), whenever an officer or soldier of one of the factions addresses you, they refer to you by your rank and last name. Just a little detail I very much loved~ Also, yeah, Alphinou (sorry for the bad spelling. ^^;) is prideful jerk for pretty much all of ARR (though he has a pretty big redemption in the Coils of Bahammat raid and an even bigger one in Heavensward).

I don't know how much it's intentionally a trans metaphor, but yeah, being trans myself it was lovely to see Silver express that ❤ So wholesome

That's a really good observation about Lucas and Hyde both being too blunt and kind of assholes sometimes, didn't even think of comparing them that way myself as they're otherwise such different characters 😅 But it's interesting how they get to being assholes in different ways - Lucas gets overly excited and blurts stuff out without really meaning to come off as mean, whereas Hyde knows exactly what he's doing and chooses his words carefully because he believes it's what the person needs to hear. Great episode as usual! Looking forward to seeing you experience some of the later conversations and stuff - this game really kept me as hooked as the first one.

Found and binged your let's play of the first game last week as I wanted to have a recap before jumping into the second game, so I'm super glad to see that you're doing this one as well! I really enjoyed listening to your playthrough. These games really are so special and cosy. I think I'm about halfway through this one myself, and I'm absolutely loving it, as much as the first one. I even went out to a tea & coffee store and bought some hibiscus so that I could drink it while playing this (they didn't have any butterfly pea though unfortunately).

Oh gosh.. At first I thought that scene at the end of Tam-tara just the devs being self-aware.. How wrong I was. ^^; There is a very tragic storyline connected to that 'failed party'. One which you will be revisiting later in the game.

It's funny because your experience with the level 25 arcanist quest mimic'ed my to the letter, including the crazy trio of accidentally finding the last scroll after searching for what felt like a solid hour, "falling" to my death off that cliff, and even having to fight my way through that exact fate in order to get to the box. XD I will say though, you managed the last of those far better than I did~ Also, on the off chance you haven't already figured this out in later episodes, your AoE Outburst is generally only good after it's been powered up by one of the summons/carbucles (like ruin, a second outburst shows up after a summon/carbucle has been used and in this video, it's right next to your custom emote button on your upper hotbar). Otherwise it takes too long to cast for the small amount of damage it does (with the possible exception of ruby outburst). Other than that, I would recommend not burning both of your Fester charges immediately, but instead using (or weaving as spellcasters call it) them in between casts of other spells with cooldowns so that you are minimizing the time between damage dealing.

The saddest part of the garlean cutscene is that Van Belsar was actually the NICE garlean general. By their standards, he's actually quite kind and considerate. Compared to another who's name starts with a Z, he's about the nicest guy you'll ever meet. ^^; And honestly.. His speech there was actually about freeing everyone from the influence of the primals.. Ironically, the same thing the Sions are doing, but in a much more cruel and violent way.

Those lore accurate Roegadyn names are a real trip, aren't they? XD They are either unpronounceable by the human tongue or silly auto generated screen names like Torrid Whisper. Edit: Appearently it's based on their clans. The Sea Wolves Clan has the unpronounceable ones and the Hellsguard Clan has ones that are just adjective and nouns put together randomly.
