I have 2 sound systems. A sound art 5 channel PA mixer with 200watt sound art passive speakers . Another is EFX12 Sound Craft mixer and 2 off 2000watt Alto powered speakers. Most times, I need to use the sound art pa system to get the job done. I wanted to learn if I could connect my EFX12 to the sound art pa mixer and control the sound mixing and control from the EFX12?

When you set the one knob compressior your voice sounded softer and sound more professional and consistent and you sound more like a podcast compressiors are mighty but can also take to much dynamics away

Magnifique explanation of practical usage of the One Knob compressor. Thank you. I use a set of seperate 4 channel compressors which I use for super dynamic signals since I need to see what happens while I dial in the seperate parameters. Now I can use my one knob compressors more frequently

Good evening, I congratulate you on your channel and your valuable advice! I am a singing enthusiast with a good vocal timbre, and I need some advice for karaoke singing at a good level, using a JBL PartyBox 120 speaker, but with limited ability to adjust the microphone’s equalization. I prefer genres such as Italian singer-songwriters and light music (Pooh, Red Canzian, Antonello Venditti, Francesco De Gregori, Carosone, Gino Paoli, etc.). Would you recommend: Beta 58A (which I already own, but I find it not warm enough and it may make my voice a bit nasal in the mid-highs), SM58 (which seems warmer and truer to my vocal timbre but perhaps less bright), Sennheiser e845, Sennheiser e935, or e945 (which I am not familiar with at all)? Thank you in advance for your reply!

Perhaps the Yamaha CSF guitars? Almost exactly the same scale length (23-5/8 vs. 23-1/2 on the Taylor) come with a bag, solid tops with solid back and sides on the top tier. I've tried these and they sound very good indeed.

A most excellent video! However, you did not cover passive speaker cabs that do not have Speakon connectors, but instead have 1/4" connectors. I'm assuming that you just use 1/4" speaker cables.
@GLBProductions3 күн бұрын
Correct, the connectors change but basic wiring configuration does not. At the risk of stating the obvious: When using 1/4" cables, make sure that you are using loudspeaker cable and not guitar cable 😅
Hi my friend, great video. I need help. I have a Behringer Xenyx 1002 mixer, an Alesis Microverb 4 effect processor and a Focusrite Scarlet 4i4 3rd gen audio interface. I would like to combine it all somehow, so that I also have live sound on my monitors, which are normally connected to the Focusrite Scarlet. I tried it myself, through the dynamic microphone I get a signal both on the mixer and on the effects processor, but I can't hear anything on the monitors. Can you help with how to connect with the cables and how, that is, which buttons to set on the processor and on the mixer? Thank you. Greetings.😉

Just one question. How will phantom power on the main mixer affect the main XLR outputs on the sub mixer? Or more directly, will it fry the outputs on the sub mixer?
@GLBProductions10 күн бұрын
It depends on the sub-mixer: most modern mixers made within the last 10-15 years should be able to tolerate this with no problems. If you are doubt, either run into the 1/4" inputs on the main mixer, or connect via a passive DI box, which will block the phantom power. Just as important: make and/or break connections with the phantom power switched off!

HI Bruno, I have been looking to buy a DJX750 on Gear4music which looks great for old skool raves but I would like to know what kind of connections I need to use as it doesn't have XLR outputs? Great demonstration by the way and will be looking to get more equipment after this 🙂
@GLBProductions16 күн бұрын
Hello Graeme, I assume you mean a Behringer DJX 750? That mixer has only RCA outputs, so you would need an amplifier that has RCA inputs, or you could convert from RCA to XLR male using an adapter cable.

Hello brother, I have a question why only one cable going out to effect unit and come back 2 cables back to the mixer in the demo u shown. I have an Allen & Heath gl 2400. I have the TC electronics m350. I want to make sure I’m hook up correct can u please help. From mixer Aux1&2 TRS cable goes to LEft and right input of the effect unit. Then from effect unit output left and right goes to line in on the mixer. So I can control reverb and delay separately on the fader. I’m not using stereo channel ST1&2 because I am using playing music from there. Which reverb will be good for church it’s a high ceiling church. What the setting on the reverb u recommend. When choir singing I can use delay and when spoken words can I use little bit reverb. Love to hear your opinion. God bless brother. Please advise.
@GLBProductions16 күн бұрын
Hello Thomas, the reason is that the send from the mixer is mono (because in live sound most signals are mono) whereas the return is in stereo, to make the most of the stereo nature of the PA system. If you church already has a high ceiling you may not need any added reverb at all. In the same way I would not add any reverb to spoken word at all, as it interferes with the intelligibility of the speech.

What a great tutorial, subbed , thanks. How would you recommend I connect my 2ch lexicon reverb? If post fader aux is recommended for effects but there is only 1 available? (Mg16xu)
@GLBProductions17 күн бұрын
Hi Bob, this mixer can actually provide two post-fader aux sends, if you set aux 1 to post-fader and use it alongside aux 2 😄 Thanks for watching!
@bobjuice12315 күн бұрын
@@GLBProductions Hey,thanks for your reply. I'm still confused as aux 1 is hard wired as pre-fade. So are aux 3& 4. That only leaves aux2 which i can switch to post fade
@GLBProductions15 күн бұрын
The MG12XU (the mixer in the video) has only two aux sends: aux 2 is fixed post-fader, aux 1 can be switched pre or post. Perhaps you have one of the bigger models?

I found that if I used 5/6 as mono just on L, it sounds a bit lower volume than if I use 1 to 4 as mono (line)
@GLBProductions17 күн бұрын
I haven't noticed that in use but it doesn't surprise me given that the signal has to pass through different circuitry to the mono channels.
