Great video! What about FT (heavy truck) engines. Such as the 330 - 391 ..How do you identify them?

Really nice car. I’m building a 64 390 fastback myself. One thing I noticed is that your valve covers don’t have breathers or pcv openings and it looks like your intake also has no openings for crank case pressure. Unless I’m missing something let me know but I’m just looking out for all the seals in your engine.

I know this video is 2 years old and I don't wanna sound like I'm "monday morning quarterbacking" but after doing some research come to find out they sell a headliner tacking strip. Summit racing sells a roll of 3/16" x 11/16" x 15' semi-hard rubber strip and goes for $25.79. It's a multi-purpose material so it can be used for different applications.

Wow what a great thorough video man ! I just bout a 1960 and am going to change the rubber brake lines, napa has them for like 60 bucks each ! Auto zone has them for 10.00 .....did you change yours ? Where did you get the brake parts ? Were you happy with them ? Thanx !
@OmarRamirezGalaxie
@OmarRamirezGalaxie 15 күн бұрын
Hi David, all the rubber lines were changed. I believe I bought them from Autozone. I forgot how much they were, but they are good quality. I also got them for my 64 comet and no problems with them

@@OmarRamirezGalaxie right on man, thanks for the reply! Did you find that because yours is a 62 that ball joint was for the 62 only?.... or do I need to find that super rare ball joint also for 1960? (If i end up needin it) .....Your Falcon is Gorgeous...!! You're gonna trip when you see this 60...ima try to put some vids of it up....only 42 k miles.... did you see the video on here, "1960 Ford Falcon windy road" ? Pretty cool with Kennedy inaugural stickers from early 60's
@OmarRamirezGalaxie
@OmarRamirezGalaxie 15 күн бұрын
I think 1960-1962 are the same ball joint but I would confirm on yours and look under there. I haven’t seen that video I’ll check it out! I love to see time capsules it’s really cool

I think the 1960 Starliner would be a cool car to lower/customize a little ...one year only and nothing Ford has made since looks so space age IMO Great video

Hmmm, the motor in my 63 tbird has threaded holes in the block above the oil pan, but no bolts in them. I always thought this strange. they don't go through the block obviously or i'd be losing oil. I just assumed it's a 390.
@mooosestang
@mooosestang 19 күн бұрын
Ah, a little googling tells me they were used for transmission cooler lines in 61 and Ford changed the lines to the drivers side in 63 i think so that's why there's nothing threaded in the holes. Seem like large holes for a bracket.

Way to go Omar! I hope you can get some Edelbrock heads , a 428 and a rowdy roller cam, 525 hp anyone?
@pokebass1
@pokebass1 20 күн бұрын
I like how a bunch of these involve having the head off. At that point you might as well just measure the bores and see that it's a 428 based off of that.

To prevent leaking out the back of the C6 transmission just tape a paper / styrofoam coffee cup over the tailpiece.

It appears you have no place to add oil to your engine with the thunderbird valve covers. The engines with those valve covers had a crankcase tube on the intake to add oil. Maybe lm missing something, but that seems to be the case. Keep up the good work!
