For people who don’t know. After the ocean dub ended and FUNimation began dubbing the show, They tried making to show the most “ocean dub like” as possible. So they had all the voice actors copy the ocean dub cast. They also used the Rock the Dragon theme up until the Garlic Jr Saga when they stopped caring about copying the ocean dub. Around that time in the ocean group started subbing the show again. This later ocean dub was aired in the UK & Canada only. The later seasons of the ocean dub were never released on dvd or aired in the us. Later in 2006 or 07 they went back & redubbed the entire show with the new cast.

Thanks so much for doing this. As time goes by, this old stuff seems to be getting increasingly difficult to find. I love the updated DBZ and the newer stuff like Kai and Super, but sometimes I just want to let my mind wander back through the years to a simpler time and relive some fond childhood memories. Videos like this give me a way to do that. In this crazy day and age, it never hurts to just mentally escape back into pleasant parts of the past for a while. I find it helps me navigate the present. I try not to do it too much, but every now and again, it's necessary... at least I think so anyway.

Hearing Dale Kelly's narrator voice legit gave me a chill. Got hit hard with the nostalgia. Shame that they replaced him on the Dvd remakes. Can only find his narration on the old Vhs tapes from the early 2000s.

I swear I’m on the hunt for all the DVDs of this original Funi dub. Yes I know they have the remastered, Orange Bricks, etc. but those original DVDs have the authenticity to that early 2000s time period when I got into DBZ.

The start of a new era. Felt odd initially with the new voices and music. But it grew on me. And now it's one of the most iconic eras of Funimation DBZ.

By far the best opening theme song for the Budokai series. The gameplay was ok. I like the strategy involved it was like a game of chess but couldn't stand the repeated battles.
