Point 1 is a bit strange because we live in a cash-based economy. Whether one is salaried or an entrepreneur, not having cash when you need it will cause you massive headaches. Cashflow is king, timely payment whether it is from one's employer or customers makes the world go round. About investing where one works, just because you work somewhere doesn't mean that is the best place to own shares. Also, do consider that some companies give shares as part of compensation, so executives may be having the shares because they were given, not because they used their own money to buy them.

Good work Good Joseph! One can also buy odd lots, i.e. less than 100 shares and so buy shares of over Kes 10 each. Eg. 2 BAT shares at 350 each.

True. I stopped by a bank the other week to close an almost dormant account. They tried to get me to stay and I told them I would have stayed if they had an MMF account and the guy wasn't sure what I was talking about. He tried claiming they did and told me he'd consult and get back to me...but I had already checked, they didn't.
