@@BigoBruski hi yeah I’m a local and I’m interested in panning just wondering what portion of the river you have tried that is accessible, etc.
@BigoBruski3 ай бұрын
Pucker St put-in spot, kayaked till an island (30-1hr after put in). On the backside of the island a large gravel bar, can't miss it. Then set up shop on the gravel and dig out into the river, you'll notice a lot of decent size rocks in the river, dig there. Heavy pans!! There's a house directly above the hillside at the island too if that helps. If you happen to find a painted Bigo Bruski rock around there, you're definitely at the right spot.

Did you find any ?
@BigoBruski3 ай бұрын
2 specks, yes. Very rocky area of the river, dug under some of those bigger rocks (7"x7" rocks). 3-4 pans and it was there.

That’s very interesting spot. Nice drop from the water fall it may have changed direction several times over thousands of years. Also please do yourself a favour and test ABOVE the water fall. Especially if you have dig the crevices in the bedrock. Good luck and heavy pans to you

Oh yes, boil and drink if you'd like. Takes about 6 gallons of sap to get 8-12 (small canning jar) ounces of syrup.

@ProspectorJohn101 the rocks in the river here are SLIPPERY, felt like I was playing a hockey game out there lol. Got the bruises too ha. Just a cool place, almost ancient feel to it all except for the cars passing by.

Iphone Picture this recognition software for plants says Bracket Polypores a Family of Fungi. Chicken of the forest is more table top like or shelf atleast the ones I have found in Ohio. I have a gem/rock recognition software also for when I classify for sluicing!

I came back to this fungi later on, definitely not chicken of the woods, it had deteriorated so fast like I've never seen chx of the woods do. Thanks for pointing that out brother, I'll google it!

What I like about your video series they are real you can tell when some people making prospecting video's put gold into the cleanup to make it look better. But we know fine/flour gold can be hard to catch in rivers :)

@@BigoBruski Well that's one nil so far. I rarely point out the good things , only where improvement may be necessary , especially when it is an introduced error. Appropriate music during the silent bits is wonderful.
