You need to get your protein, some salmon is not enough for an entire day. This is not healthy for anyone. Try making small changes so that you get enough of it.

Bagels and salmon is famous dish in multiple cultures around the world. Most famously bagels and lox (salt cured salmon) in the Jewish community. This is a perfectly balanced meal of carbs, fat, and protein to start off the day. But let me guess, your favorite breakfast is pancakes or Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Are you OK? Have you never had lox? You probably eat a pop-tart for breakfast

just a little note, as I believe you're american. the "chopped pickle" in the sausage roll recipe is probably referring to something more like branston's pickle, which is a chutney made of mixed vegetables. here in england we call pickles gherkins!

Turn the music down, or don’t have music at all is my suggestion. Your voice should not have to compete with something else in the background.

Looks well rounded except maybe breakfast. It was heavy on the carbs and very little protein.

I like the video and concept. But it’s too much reading. I had to keep pausing to read the subtitles to know what was going on. A few subtitles is fine. Someone should narrate vocally. Thank you

During the Great Depression these were luxury meals as a lot of folk were unable to purchase any food. Clara left a wonderful legacy in her clever and basic meals, Lovely video 🎉😊

Just found your channel! WOW OH WOW, a lady after my own heart. I am a 1960's lady, 60th birthday coming up very soon, feel I missed the 1960's as was so young, can't wait to try some 1950's recipes out and REALLY HOPE that you go much further back in time and try recipes from way way back. I did find a website many years ago that had recipes that started in the Stone Age and went right through to the 1970's. Wish I could find it again, it was a children's website. I did cook a few things from it that went down very well. I REALLY hope your channel grows quickly as I am going to love coming here and watching and trying recipes. My eyes really lit up with the 1950's recipes, even though I wasn't born them my children always say I would love to live in a 1950's house. I am OVER THE MOON that I have found you, you have REALLY made my day, thank you so very much. I will stop now, or I will be typing forever

My dad grew up in the depression, however they lived very rural and grew basically all their food. They did have large breakfasts with biscuits, sausage, gravy eggs ect. They were poor but had plenty of food😊

Q Coffee ☕️ was also considered a luxury. This is rich people food. Great depression food was lard on bread. Soup 🍲 for supper from whatever was inexpensive and free. Q ❤️

In great depression no olive oil was use ? White lard or shortening was use in fact and no butter also because first it was rare and secondary it was to expensive.....People's was keeping the bacon grease also when possible to buy bacon of course and it was a treat to put that on our toast bread when the butter was impossible to buy !!!

Not sure about the exact bread recipe but you can find much on these on Clara’s channel she mentioned at the beginning of the video or in her cookbook. She is no longer with us but Clara’s grandson still maintains the website, I know for a fact the Poormans meal is uploaded to her channel if you would like exact reciepe.
