@@Dstick1Spearfishing 😂Thanks man. Been awhile glad I remembered how. Was a tough trip with weather. Had a few good fish come in but struggled. Glad we got some action in other departments🤦Glad it did not turn out worse.🙏Awesome trip though in an incredible place. Don’t think trips should only be judged on fish. Although they mostly are. 🤦

@AfricanSpearfishingDiariesАй бұрын
@@protrump1285 Don’t agree with that. Would firstly not make a difference as I have witnessed people trying this over the years. Secondly you would end up in jail in French Polynesia as sharks are protected. Thirdly sharks are one of the main reasons there is so much life in places like this. If we want to visit thier world what gives us the right to just kill them for just being sharks?
@buceoApulmonАй бұрын
i heard once from a Polynesian spearfisher that when spearfishing, you must give the fish to the sharks if they have bitten it before you grabbed it. The first to bite or grab the fish asserts dominance, and the sharks respect it. But if you take "their" fish, they see you as unfair competition and will turn agressive.. It seems that he was spot on.

You just can't trust a shark after they get a fish. Once they get a taste they lose their caution and become territorial and competitive. That wasn't a feeding bite--- that shark is in battle mode

In 1963 I dived and brought nice pics of the small island TAMBUZI, off Mocimboa da Praia by motor boat. Amazing corals and fishes and the light house was to be preserved. I dived in Cabo Verde later living in Mozambique and Tambuzi was a little marvel and the sea was superb and nice pics were taken. Later I dived the crystal clear Red Sea and got nice UW pics. I am sorry for the local poor and miserable people being massacred by strange terrorist interests. Thanks for your videos.

But doesn´t knowing the places is also part of spearfishing in new places? Otherwise, you do what? shoot fish and that´s it? Spearfishing is much more than just "pull the trigger", if you do not agree, you´re just a shooter, nothing else...

great respect for guys that do spear fishing at this level, but, please why must you include GTs and marlin in your target list? If all spearos targeted these you'd def see an effect on the population, it talks to normal fisherman too who watch this and don't get the catch release message they ought to when fishing for those species

Do you take shots without extending your arm fully very often? We’ve been having much worse viz the last 2 years and I find myself needing to take more shots without extending my arms but I feel my accuracy is very affected. You seemed to do fine. Maybe I just need more practice.
