They’re called Ultra Phones. They’re a little pricey, but I love them for the studio. They’re noise canceling and sound pretty good!

what i can’t grasp is how do you count it, so there are 7 beats, but i don’t hear 7😭

It can be tough in the beginning! Try counting to 7 slowly over and over and then stomping your foot every time you say one and five and clapping your hands every time you say three and seven. It’ll be weird at first but it’ll start getting easier the more you do it.

Favorite rudiment is paradiddlediddle. On the kit it allows the diddles to sit on the snare, which scratches an itch for some reason. If you want to fit it as 1/16th note fill, add 4 strokes at the end (rack tom, floor tom).

Great lesson. The UltraPhones are by far the best isolating headphones designed for drummers I’ve ever used. They’re not cheap, but they’re worth it! They caught my eye because you don’t see too many people using them.
