Vaguely considering getting a td-3, because visiting china and bizarrely the donner b-1 hasn't seemed to be available in china. If were choosing again, would choose that blue one or the silver one?

@commutercommuterАй бұрын
@kicksNCYАй бұрын
@commutercommuterАй бұрын

I also had the new red MK2 version at home last week but sent it back because it no longer has an EXTL CLK input. My blue MK1 version still has this input and can trigger with my 707 with the Rimshot trigger or with the RD8! The fact that this vintage feature is simply gone is a no go and that's what matters to me, although not always but important because I like to do it like the boys in Chicago in the 80s!
@commutercommuterАй бұрын
Well, i didn't tried with the sequencer yet, but i can sucessfully trigger the Arpeggiator with the rimshot (or in my case, the cowbell) of my RD8, via the Sync In connector..so it's not completely lost?? i can add/remove steps on the RD8 and it works well... Will try with the sequencer one day ;-)
@commutercommuterАй бұрын
Yep, it seems it's only working with the arpeggiator, will write to Behringer about that
@commutercommuterАй бұрын
I'm in contact with Behringer about that...i hope we'll find a solution, because, as i said, it's working well with the Arpeggiator, i can add/remove steps, the old school way via the sync in input....
@commutercommuterАй бұрын
Hi, man, Behringer were not useful at all, the support was very bad and didn't understand what i want to achieve....i found a solution by myself, it's strange, but it works!! My solution when using the RD8-MK2 = you have to use the sync out of the RD8 to the sync in of the MS1 to start the sequencer and another jack from one of the trigger out to the GATE in of the MS1, and then it works!! As an old school SH101, you can add/remove steps on the RD8 using the instruments of your choice from the trigger out (in my case, the cowbell)

Laurent, please tell me, I can’t decide on the choice. Can the Pro-800 replace the Pro-1 for say bass? Or perhaps the Pro-800 can completely replace the Pro-1? Thank you.
@commutercommuter Жыл бұрын
Hello, hard to answer, i have both, personnally i don't think it can replace the Pro 1 fully, because of more CV inputs/source of modulation, and i find the envelopes on the pro 1 a bit more punchy...it depends on the kind of bass sound you want to make.....Don't get me wrong, the pro 800 is also excellent for bass sound, and i'm also making bass sound with it....but the Pro 1 is slightly different and more "in your face", more punchy......Having both is the best of course, but i think you wouldn't make a bad choice by starting with the Pro 800, it's a great "all rounder"....that's my opinion of course ;-)
