Great video, Chris. I love the fact that you were able to show what's going on inside the sinkholes; something that can only be done "safely" with a drone. The quality from your drone is really quite incredible.

Thanks. I had to turn on the drone's landing light to see inside the sinkholes.

Thank you. I thoroughly enjoy making videos of the Villages Honor Flight (VHF) events. I love my videography hobby and it gives me a chance to give back. I often get tears in my eyes when I'm editing the VHF videos. The same thing happens when I'm the videographer on the honor flights. Thanks for your response.

I am just speechless after watching this video Chris, that was truly an amazing and inspiring video. I am definitely passing this on to Najee's management team and I know they will just be thrilled to know that he was a part of this celebration of our veterans. I am truly honored to have gotten to chat with you on the internet about this unbelievable group of amazing volunteers and workers that put this event together. As a veteran I salute all of our WWII veterans and their families. I also salute you Chris for all your hard work and dedication to make this event happen. I can't wait to see what the new year has in store for our WWII veterans and you better believe that I will be passing this video on to Najee himself and I know he will truly be honored to play again for our veterans. God Bless & Happy Holidays!!

That's terrific. Thanks Mary and thank you for your lengthy military service. Villages Honor Flight's (VHF) next mission is on November 5th, 2014. It will be the last mission this year. Of course, there will more than likely be other Honor Flights flying out of Orlando in early November or sooner. I don't keep track of the schedules of the other Honor Flight hubs in Florida. I volunteer in any capacity that I can. I've been the videographer on two flights and a guardian on a third. We are going to have our first Flightless Honor Flight on Saturday, September 27th here at The Villages. We are finding that more and more WWII and Korean War vets have major health issues that prevent them from flying to D.C. So, VHF decided to try a flightless honor flight for them. There will be 15 mostly WWII vets involved. We are going to recreate the experience in all aspects except the actual flight. Instead of flying we are going to have a virtual flight at one of our local recreation centers. We are going to have actual TSA and Southwest employees here to help us simulate an actual flight. I put together a video that shows the flight to BWI, the bus trip to D.C., the changing of the guard at Arlington, the war memorials, the bus trip back to BWI and the return flight to Orlando. Our usual tour guide in Washington is flying in to participate. "Miss Liberty" is coming from Orlando to participate. We're hoping that "David the Bagpiper" from Orlando will also be here. There will be our usual homecoming event at our local American Legion Post 347 and there should be our usual large crowd in attendance. The video will show Najee playing the National Anthem on the return flight. Is there any chance that he might consider coming here for the event? He could play the National Anthem in person. Wouldn't that be something? If the flightless Honor Flight works out then it will be a model for the other approximate 120 Honor Flight hubs nationwide to implement.

Hi Carl, It's been a while since I chatted with you last. I hope you are doing great and had a great summer. The honor flights look like they are about to wrap up for this year. Did you happen to video tape the Villages Honor Flight "Flightless Mission" on September 27? You had said that you would re-play Najee playing the Star Spangled Banner for this show. I would love to pass that recording on to Najee's record company. Najee himself has said so many times that it truly is a privilege to perform for our men and women veterans. Right now we are putting together tour dates for next year and would love to perform on either an Honor Flight or a Flightless Honor Flight. Najee lives in the Orlando area so this is home for him. We have some open dates available in the spring time so please let me know the Honor Flight Schedule. This is my information: [email protected]; my cell # 409-767-1797. I hope to hear from you soon. Take care, Mary Williams E-7/SFC US Army (Ret)

Mary Williams Hi Mary, It would be terrific if we could work out a date for Najee to perform at one of our homecomings. I recorded the Flightless Honor Flight (FHF) on September 27th and I posted a 15 minute highlights video on KZbin this morning. Here's the link: flightless honor flight on 9-27-2014 highlights video for youtube The highlights video only includes a small portion of Najee playing the Star Spangled Banner. The video that the vets saw showed him playing the entire song. There were 15 veterans, mostly WWII, involved in the FHF. It was a big success. It was very emotional at times with lots of tears. We had professional entertainers volunteer at the homecoming portion of the flight. That's normal for all of our flights. The entertainment normally includes a main performer plus cheerleaders, twirlers and drum corps, clowns, etc. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm came up just before the homecoming and it cut down on the crowd, which was still large. We moved the homecoming indoors at the VHF Post 347 and filled up their main auditorium. We are going to hold another FHF on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Our last flight to D.C. this year is scheduled for November 5th. We haven't established our 2015 schedule yet other than the FHF date. Thanks for your and Najee's interest. I was very impressed with Najee when I met him on our April 27th flight. We're excited about him possibly coming here to perform at one of our homecoming events. Thank you! BTW, my real name is Carl but I go by Chris.

Carl Lipp Hi Mary, I took down my video temporarily and will repost on KZbin later today. One of the music segments somehow got corrupted. I'll provide the new link later today.

Mary Williams Here is the link to my Flightless Honor Flight highlights video. Highlights of VHF Flightless Honor Flight on 9 27 2014 I haven't had a chance to watch it on KZbin but I think it's okay except for one minor music issue that I wasn't able to fix. I talked to Liza Walters at Villages Honor Flight today. She is on the management team and is responsible for the flight schedules and entertainment at the homecomings plus other duties. I told her about your message and she will either call you or email you to try to work out a date for Najee to perform at one of our Honor Flights. She is excited about the possibility. Me too. Thanks again. Chris

Mary Williams Hi Mary, Well, I'm trying my video one more time on KZbin. Here's the link: Highlights of VHF Flightless Honor Flight on 9 27 2014 final I'm removing my other flightless video links. This version still has a problem with the music sound track at Arlington National Cemetery. I fixed some of the problem but there's still a blip at the end of the music when approaching the area near the changing of the guard. I think there's a bug in my video editing program so I'm not going to waste more time trying to fix this minor problem. Chris

Carl, I just wanted to let you know that I have been in touch with Najee's management company and we are trying to coordinate a time of another honor flight schedule for the WWII Veterans. Fortunately, Najee is just now coming off tour so he has some down time. I also am a 21 year Army veteran retiring in 2011 so this is personal to me also. I will keep you in the loop and please feel free to contact me at any time.

An icon for the world to know. He is an amazing and gifted musician on multiple instruments. Najee started early in his career playing in the USO tours and would travel the world playing for the troops. What an amazing talent and individual who loves his country and the veterans. Thank you so much for publishing.

Thanks for your comments. I didn't know that Najee played for our troops on USO tours. I wish we could arrange to have Najee play on all of our returning Villages Honor Flights. :) I was the videographer on that flight and I made a 1 hr. 25 min. video of the entire flight. A copy of the video was given to all of the vets who were on the flight. Of course I included all of Najee's Star Spangled Banner.
