Wondering if the "roof streaks" that you always see on roofs after a time show up MORE on a light roof than a darker one? I know they say that is algae and that there is a built in chemical to stop that but I have a neighbor that still has it on his 5 year roof. Also if getting solar later is the lighter roof render the solar panels less effective than a darker one?

ANGI LEADS / HOME ADVISOR IS A PURES SCAM & CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION. We have been business since before the internet. We have done business with the original Angi of the former Angi's list. Angi was honest, But she sold out. When Home Advisor was new they were a failing but honest startup. To save themselves they quickly became very dishonest. Now they are Criminals. Home advisor dug itself a hole so deep and such a bad reputation that they had to buy a reputable business to stay afloat. They bought Angi Leads for an absurd sum and rebranded their company. Sort of. But they did a bad job of it. Everybody knows they are NOT Angi Leads. They demand SSI numbers for all the companies employees. for a so called background check. No check is performed. They want the SSI for a credit check. Then when you complain of their nonexistent service, they threaten to ruin the credit ratings of your employees. NEVER give anyone your SSI number. Contractors buy leads to get jobs. These leads are always exclusive and fresh. A lead over a day is considered old. This unscrupulous company will generate fake leads and reuse very old leads over and over and then sell that fake or old WORTHLESS lead to up to ten contractors simultaneously ! PURE FRAUD. You call the client and he tells you the item was repaired two months ago, Well you know you were screwed. You complain to home advisor and they will credit you half the amount of the cost of the lead. Fresh Leads are worth about $10-15. They charge $35- 60 per lead. Times 10 contractors and zero cost. Then when you realize you bought a load pure crap, and refuse to pay, they threaten and bully the contractor with fake online reviews and a lawsuit and destroy your credit. We were hounded with collection calls, fake service calls and threats of harm. We applied their own strategy. We had paid via credit card and did charge backs. They tried to immediately recharge our card and failed. We called their office, read then a statement about their company. All Truthful. and said: We have 40 sites loaded, this minute with this very truthful review of who you are and your unlawful practices. We will have 100 more loaded within 24 hours,. Leave us alone you thief or we push the button. NEVER heard from them again. Criminals are scared of the truth and losing revenue. Hope this helps someone.

Another unethical thing HA does they steal your business identity. Had customer referral from regular customer and asked why'd you go through HA and she said Google your business and received HA contact number. Called and they said cause I was on exact match leads. Only new business with no customer base need them

They have send out leads with bad phone numbers, wrong addresses etc. and ALWAYS deny giving a rufund for these … recently they sent me an appointment request. A couple hours later they sent an appointment cancellation email and still billed me for it denying that they sent me the cancellation email. They will lie about anything and everything.

Waste of time.The worst element you could get.The salesguy called me for literally a year trying to get me to sign up,which made me all the more skeptical.You can't screen these people so you get a lot of reverse racists with a huge chip on their shoulder.There's no logic applied to the lead prices.Absolutely awful service,app.I wouldnt recommend to anyone.If you want to pay to be insulted and abused by the cancel culture,pay your systemic debt,by all means sign up for home advisor.Worse people I've dealt with as far as clients,80% of them.Want everything for free and don't really want anything done.Avoid them,trust me I know.I signed up and one of the worst mistakes I ever made.

Hope Advisor is a RIP off. I signed up with them, gave them my account and what i was told is completely different from what offer. They send me the same leads the send to multiple people and then they too all my money out and put me in overdraft. They keep harassing me every day threaten me.

I had a strange call We don't have a carpenter in *** we would like to hire you. I listen to their sell, sounded good until it came to money. Then manager after manager tried get me to sign up. One was really smooth after he talked a deal, I thought about it. Transfered to another manager he asked my close rate, how long been a carpenter,and more. I was asked my SS# I became suspicious I wonder if Walmart owns them, I know many that work st Walmart, need something during the winter worked almost a year. I was asked to work off the clock and more I stood up to nearly every manager I became the store manager favorite. If not for my supervisor and the department I worked in left long ago. So I understand depressing work place the break room all were on their cell or complaining about things. I say go self employed do not work for another, you control your salary work schedule, try it.

I had no idea about Home advisors last week they contact me and I signed with them. When I go home I start to look for reviews and 💥 I found all this bad reviews about them . Fortunately my back round check couldn’t go through. And I got my money back. But they have my card number I should cancel my card ?

I wish our then, project manager would have seen this before signing up. We too are part of the contractors that got scammed. We have made numerous attempts to reach them, speak to anyone who can do anything to help us, just to be told that because the proper cancellation procedures (which we never knew about) were not followed ( which was to call their customer service line) and they can't accept the emails from the rep stating he was going to cancel the account so they are not issuing a refund (over $2600). Emails were sent in Nov 2019 to cancel then again in Feb 2020, but our bank account continued to be charged since November 2019. There is much more, but that's the gist. Please do not use them, they scam, lie and play games. As much as I can I will making it my life mission to get them shut down, so they don't take advantage of other hard working honest small business. I will leave reviews on every site I can think of!!!! Shame on the people that work there and know their unethical practices but continue to implement them.

But...what about us customers?!? I needed a few shingles replaced on my roof (I'm a sixty year old man with poor balance-lol.) The receptionist for my regular roofer quoted me a high price on the phone. SO...I went online and found homeadvisor. They made me an appointment with a Mr. Justin L., independent or with what company I don't know. It was $200 cheaper than my first estimate, so I figured, what the hey?? The appointed day came today. The Gentleman showed up more-or-less on time, and replaced the four missing shingles. But, THEN the trouble began. Homeadvisor emailed me a $548 charge (which was not pending online this morning.) The young man said he had not been paid, and needed $215 cash. When I (probably stupidly) showed him the email, he of course said he needed $548 because "I have to pay the rest to homeadvisor." So...I paid him the money, and, of course, this afternoon a charge DID appear from homeadvisor. The man had said he'd send his contact info to my cellphone (no business card, no name on the truck) but, that never happened. It was not a total ripoff...he did the work-hopefully well. I also tried to get customer service while he was here, but the hold time was too long, and I had to leave. I will get their online customer support tomorrow. He may be sleazy-but, so is homeadivsor.

I am an electrician/AC service tech for a long time. Home Advisor contacted me, and I decided to give them a try. I do not regret at all my decision to join up with them. Do I receive a lot of joker leads? Absolutely. But even after factoring in the expense of the jokers, I am still way ahead. Some of the joker leads are credited back to my account. When I call my recruiter/rep who signed me up, he always calls me back. My only affiliation with HomeAdvisor is that of a vendor. I normally do not comment on these sites but when I read everyone bashing them, I had to speak up.

That so called "Smart Siding" brings back horrible memories of Masonite Siding.

That "Smartside" looked like waferboard to me and that's all I need to see. NADA ! Hardee is nice but could be a problem to repair without damage to surrounding pieces. Vinyl is affordable and can be replaced where needed (if the style you have is still available.) Brick has it's problems too but would be my number one choice.

We were on home advisor for about 6 months was completely a money extortion scam bullshit leads like "get cat out of tree" no one would answer when called lead like We didn't see that coming.After 6 months we tried to quit the service and they put us in collections for $1500.00 for what they said were un-serviced customers.
