For those wondering, this Cabramatta. A small suburb of mainly Vietnamese immigrants, now a hub for South-East Asian and Chinese culture. Used to be a place of drugs and small gang wars in late 90s and early 2000s. All stores closed at 5-6pm, and non-locals we turned back if they arrived by train. Thankfully, now everything jas cleared up, and after COVID, more food spots are staying opened late. You are able to find many Vietnamese ingredients, extending to Chinese (mostly Canton style) cuisines as well. It is also probably the most concentrated spot for bubble tea stores other than the CBD (Gong cha, Chatime, Sharetea, Machi Machi, Milk Flower, Crown Tea, King Tea, Tea Republic, Mi Xue, apparently San Chen is coming as well). There's all thr popular Vietnamese foods, as well as some Chinese restaurants (notably Yum Cha/Dim Sum, and seafood), Cambodian, Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Lao. Malatang (also known as Hot Pot in some places), fried and grilled skewers are also recently set place there. Moon Festival (or Mid-Autumn Festival) and Lunar New Year are also celebrared there with lots of food and service stalls and carnival rides. This is the best place for South-East Asian food, drinks and groceries.
