If you think 40 volts is good try the - 80-volt - 5-ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Kobalt Pole Saw. No cable. I’m using an Oregon Bar and Chain. I have been using it for more than 3 years now and love it. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. I carry it all over our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I also have (2) 80-volt 5-ah batteries 18" chain saws they are awesome.

It sounds like you have a bad battery. Some lead acid batteries will build up less sulfate crystals if it isn't charged periodically. Once the crystals cover the poles Inside the battery it will permanently damaged.

I love my Kobalt Pole Chainsaw - 80-volt - 5-AH battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Chainsaw. No electric cord. I've been using Oregon Bars and Chains. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees throughout the woods of our 18-acre farm. I carry it all over in our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. The chainsaw first one wound up in a puddle and stopped working but after a couple of weeks and it had dried out, it started working again. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. We have cut 20"+_ logs and works like a charm. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw.

Mike, I really liked your video on the Kobalt 40volt Trimmer. I am a Kobalt tool owner and user and I have thoroughly enjoyed using these 24volt battery powered tools. I have owned the following Kobalt 24 volt tools for 9-1/2 years; drill driver; impact driver; 7-1/4" circular saw; Reciprocating Saw; Chain Saw; and Pole Saw. In addition, I have owned a 40volt Lawnmower for 9-1/2 years without a single issue. I really enjoy using the Kobalt tool brand tools and highly recommend them to all of my friends and family. Finally, I like and appreciate how Lowe's Home Center stands behind it's 5-year warranty for their Kobalt owned and branded tools! Well done on your review!

I have a 2020 Honda pioneer 700-4 and I made a battery box big enough to install a deep cycle battery under the driver's side seat. the top cover comes off in 2 parts and the front and side cover come off to make it easy to build a box for the battery. the transmission has to have a set amount of power to run correctly. if it doesn't have proper power to it, it will take the transmission out. the only thing that should run off the original battery is the starter and engine and transmission and the lights and power steering if equipped. the winch and other light and other extras should be attached to your second battery. including the winch. Just an FYI.
@MikeM100

Hi Mike. Sounds like a good price for the saw. I would love to have one for things like camping and in the vehicle when storms take place. Maybe you might do a mod fix video for the saw, especially the loosening issue. Hung up big trees, I usually only cut them slightly less than waist high, (dropping piece by piece) so there's no chance it will kick back and drop into me, and of course run fast like you did when needed. Some I used a pole saw for more safety. Surprising how just a small tree top falling on your arm can change the day. Take care.
@MikeM100
@MikeM100 24 күн бұрын
I'm pretty happy with the saw, overall, but I wish the extra batteries were cheaper. I put some locktite on the bar bolt and that stopped it from vibrating loose. You're right, even a small limb hitting the head or hitting the arm that is holding the saw is a big danger. I keep a hard hat in the truck, but forgot to take it on the day I did the video. Now, after reading your comment, I wish I had mentioned that. I should have also worn the chaps. My next review is on a pole saw. I got tired of climbing a tree with the chain saw. 12 foot pole saw is a lot safer. Thanks for watching.

Great video! I like how you showed the 2-3 year old trees too. How far apart do you recommend planting them? I’m planting for privacy, not for lumber. Also, can I plant them in Feb-March?
@MikeM100
@MikeM100 3 ай бұрын
If you are planting for privacy I would plant them no closer than 4 or 5 feet apart, Any closer and time the roots will grow into each other and the trees will end up stunted and grow crooked. Loblolly is a great privacy tree. I also use them as a natural border between our property and the neighbor. They grow fast and bushy. The best time to plant them is January or February in the south when it's still cold out. In the north, then plant them when the ground thaws. The roots will still grow in the very early spring and branch out to give the tree a good head start. They need to be planted BEFORE the weather turns warm.

I haven't had a problem with it leaning or folding, and I roll my table all around the garage. I added a shelf below the table, which is probably helping it with strength. You could add an angled brace from the bottom surface of the table to the leg to stiffen it if necessary. Thanks for watching.
