I been comparing the two pioneer 700 and UF 600..I had a deposit on the UF 600 but didn’t have that googling feeling so I saw a Pioneer 700 3 1/2 hours away. I bought the pioneer 700 and glad I did.

I have the small icotec 300 +. It works pretty good. Very loud. I call coyotes with it a lot.

I've never had a problem with my chain coming off. After 300+ uses, it still works fine. Are you using the original chain or an after-market chain? Also, chains do stretch over time. You may need a new chain.

I tried this , but still its not working, when I connect the power supply its blinking 99 and then sometimes it counts down to 0 and blinking 0, guess problem is with the cells

But the manufacturers recommend us to use SAE 30 straight or 15w 50, without detergent. I do not know the reason why but that's why i stayed away from using standard motor oil

Most manufacturers recommend 30 weight because that works in almost all climates in the US. A different weight may be better in very northers or very southern areas.

The Kobalt 40V power supply weed trimmer (through Lowe's) is identical to the one from GreenWorks (I bought a blower and trimmer that share a 40V power supply that is rechargeable through Amazon as a package deal several years ago). Be certain the power is removed before you handle the trimmer.

Hi Mike, first of all, I want to thank you for the video, it was really helpful in getting to know the equipment. I bought the same one you show in the video, second-hand, still in the box, used only once, like new, but it was used more than 3 years ago. I’m trying to figure out what could be causing the problem where it shuts off after about 10 seconds. I can only start it with the choke off, first I pull the cord with the choke on, then I turn it off, and pull the cord again… that’s when it starts, but after a few seconds it shuts off. I repeated this several times and noticed that gasoline mixed with dark oil is coming out of the exhaust, splashing onto other parts of the equipment and dripping onto the ground. Do you have any idea what might be happening?

People should be careful because NOT ALL PUMP SAVERS ARE NON-TOXIC (always read your label). For example, if you use Ryobi Pressure Washer Pump Protector and get it on your skin the label says you should wash your hand immediately with water for 15 minutes. It has similar instructions for if you get it in your eyes. After watching this video I almost made the assumption that they all were non toxic but luckly I read the label just-in-case. I'd update your video with a text warning just-in-case someone else makes that assumption.

Mike. I have the same model. My question is, can you upgrade the chain bar and chain to a 14 inches on this pole saw? I can’t find any videos or any info in the Owners Manual. Thank you.

That should work if you can find a bar that will fit, but I would not recommend it. The saw body is not made for a 14 inch bar.

@@MikeM100 Thank you for your prompt reply. You are right. I just talked to Kobalt Cust. Service earlier today and this model has no upgrade bar or chain higher than 10 in. If you upgrade it will void the warranty. Thanks again for your response.

I tried my 14 inch Oregon bar and it did fit, but it makes the saw pretty heavy. My main concern is that the saw body is plastic and would not handle the stress of the longer bar. And it would potentially be dangerous in case the saw slings itself apart. And then there's the pole. The pole is not super strong.

I just bought this unit and noticed that the ground was missing the screw on their, did you have to use one of your own or was one inserted on there that I may have overlooked? Thanks for the help!

Mind had the ground screw. It may have come unscrewed and may be in the unit. It should be copper.

Should be fine. Both go to crank case. I've done it myself.
