Very nice, good use of mulching to keep the weeding down and excellent use of useful "weeds". I also like your easy going use of volunteers and self-seeders. Nice companion planting and use of your various micro-climates. Though it wasn't said out right, the multiple reference to the chickens about the property probably means you move them about for chicken scratch self weeding/insect control/fertilizer. It must have been a lot of work to get started but you seemed to have used every trick in the book to make your garden sustainable and less labor intensive. Good job and thanks for sharing.

I really liked your set up specially the cages. Not criticizing, but thought I would mention the chicken wire that you use. Big dogs can easily rip it right off the cage. I seen this happen to a friend. Dead rabbits laying all over the yard because dogs ripped the wire off and got to them in the night. Just thought I might mention it to save you the pain. But, I think your set up is really great. Keep the videos coming.

To All: Given Google's takeover of KZbin I've found myself with two accounts which is annoying. I've uploaded the complete "Self Sufficiency" video in one file to my other account for easier viewing. Let me know if you have any problems finding it.

Rabbits will fight if put together. You have to keep them seperate or they will end up fighting and hurting/killing each other.

Rabbits make great fertilizer for the garden and we eat them. Even if you don't eat rabbits they are worth having for the fertilizer. Unlike chicken poop that is high in nitrogen and will burn plants if it is not aged, rabbit poop can go directly in the garden.

To do as you please don't get into an HOA. I would live with an HOA for anything. I am originally from Arizona, I am new to Pennsylvania so I do not have a good feel of land and price. We continue to look for a smaller house and a bigger property.

Female rabbits are very territorial, they do not like other females in their area. Also you have to put the female in the males cage to breed. If you put the male in her cage she may tear him up including castrating him.

Actually humans are very high in protein and vitamins if dressed and prepared correctly. You CAN eat anything, but there are some things that people just don't want to eat. Dogs and humans have too many biological interactions that are detrimental to life for them to be considered as food. Stick to the fast growing and biologically neutral proteins if you want to thrive. Don't eat people and don't eat cats and dogs. Eat insects. they are fast growing and good for the body.

I do not know much about breading, but it is obvious that the chicks are separated to protect them, but why are the female rabbits all separated from one another?

Aren't pigs, fishes, cows and chickens awesome, too? I don't see any difference. If you eat pigs and it's ok, it should be ok to eat dogs or cats, too.
