Its also incredible to see the differences in offensive philosophies in this era compared to the modern day. Pre about 2015 it was almost mandatory to attempt an entry pass to the big no matter the skill level. Most plays like the laker cut, are heavily dependent on the big being able to pass out the post and also to be a low post offensive threat. Nowadays if your big isn't comfortably handling the ball inside out (Kat,Embiid,Lauri, Sabonis etc) he's not getting that entry pass instead they are strictly screeners and rollers (Gobert, Gafford, Jarret Allen etc)

the more i see the more i think the LA toxic fanbase got to him and cratered his confidence similar to what they did to westbrook. i dont think kwame was bad i think the laker fan expectations were egregious and their backlash was not fair whatsoever.

Mj n kobe were horrible teammates mad tht man could hang str8 outta hs just off potential alone he could've been top 15 he could play a guard to the center all tht was needed was guidance he frm the country so he would've worked like horse to be better for jordan if he would've not been a hater same 4 bean imo. kwame could put the ball on the floor could shoot played defense post up was big enuff for rebounding consistently everything of a created player fr but mfs was haters n wanna be traditional everybody tht criticized this man haters n i guarantee he could 🚌 everybody who had sum'n 2 say bout him n they know it... Didn't let tht man play his game

One day Tom Gugliotta came into my barber shop for a trim. I asked the Hawks vet, between you and me, how old was Kevin Willis when Kwame cooked him in that 04-05 game? Mr. Gugliotta replied "Kevin Willis was 137 years old", he came off the bench next to the gatorade to guard Kwame.

Why did the lakers trade caron butler for kwame? Theres no way they couldnt get a better big man that could atleast do the basics.

Kwame should be the last to person to critique any player when he was one of the worse players in the nba lol. This man doesn't have any rings, no all star appearances, averaged 6 points per game and none of his jerseys got retired 😂

Now that i see Kwame was not that bad he had the physical tangibles but he never really matured mentally as a player which i think what indefinitely held back his development and its eveident in the plays where he has the ball in his hands with time time to make a move he looks lost but when he's playing of instinct which for him looked like off the glass getting offensive rebounds and going up he was fine which requires very little thinking and more reaction and athleticism which goes to my previous point he never mature mentally in developing his game.
@chesscomsupport868920 күн бұрын
The Lakers had 43 points at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. In today's NBA, that would be unthinkable.
@devindillard191820 күн бұрын
I remember living in AZ and watching this game as a kid with my grandfather. I couldn’t believe that the lakers were actually booing this man every time he touched the ball. I remember it so vividly as a kid. Even PHX fans were stunned that they were booing him lol
@QuestionEverything56221 күн бұрын
Not also would you ever want Kwame Brown on your basketball team. You wouldn't want him in any high pressure situation. You could always sense he was extremely sensitive to outside noises and pressure. He could not even make the simplest of plays if he felt pressured. He never wanted the ball for this reason.
@Ali-xs6bx21 күн бұрын
OMG i understand now why he went number 1. He was a passing center that can block shots and run or lead the fast break
