If today's family court wasn't so lopsided, I think the husband would have left immediately. However, if there's one thing that I think makes a divorce most legitimate, it's definitely adultery. You're committed to staying with somebody, and while I get that the husband is trying his best for the daughter, him not telling her the truth about how he feels is not only dishonest, but it makes her feel as if he's okay with it and he isn't. And no, this isn't a case of, "A man sharing his feelings makes him less of a man." This is the ruination of a marriage we're talking about here. Not a stupid argument over how the husband wanted his eggs hardboiled and not sunny side up one morning (or vice versa). He should've expressed his fears honestly and discussed this problem at length, since he's entitled to that. He's done nothing wrong to splinter the relationship, but he's doing nothing to save it either aside from caring for the daughter. If possible, I would also consider that they should talk to marriage counseling or a church for guidance (though considering it seems like the wife is bisexual, the latter is unlikely to occur). Again, I'm not saying that the man is at fault for the current state, but he's not doing anything to try to save it, and instead fosters complete bitterness for his wife who, while at fault, is attempting to remedy the situation.
