Hello Can I use this material for a video about distribution? I will only use small parts 😅
I have problem with screen fluckering in linux mint and other X11 DE's. LMDE showing me some "error (bug)..." while booting... On my laptop the best working distro is Ubuntu with wayland. It work so good. Also in mint you can't use fractional scalling without problems. But you can change fonts scalling and icons. Today Ubuntu is not really worst than mint. It's much more modern desktop. For laptop with 15' screen I recommend Ubuntu, for desktop with 18-20+' monitor Mint or Kubuntu, Debian KDE or LMDE.

@@EverydayLinuxUser Well... I'm Mint fan actually. I've use Mint for a few years and Windows only for audio recording. I set up Cinnamon like old gnome 2 with 2 panels and it was combonation of modern desktop with classic experience. But then I moved to Windows in 2019 because of software and only Linux for every day use fpr me was my Volumio streamer and Pocketbook ereader :). But since i switched from Cakewalk to Ardour I comeback to Linux. I've experienced Mint as daily driver for a long time and installed this on some family computers. So I recommend this distro for everyone new or just for everyone who like classic desktop experience.

I'm using Mint for my server and its my first time making Linux a main OS. Although its way better than it was before, I STILL have to do a lot of research to get basic things to work and using the command prompt is unavoidable. I don't get why the devs have not fixed it so that you can't fully do things such as permissions/sharing/installing packages through only using the GUI.

The main thing you did wrong is: when you're installing and in the "packages" section, when you turned on printing support, etc.. You should always expand the first option at the top where it says "cachy packages"... There are many things in there that you can turn on or off, such as bluetooth.

Quick question. Are you old enough to remember Mepis from back in the day? It was just as annoying then as MX is today. You can't quite put your finger on it.But. Antix on the other hand are obviously the clever ones but just a bit too woke when it comes to systemd and even elogind. MX is somebody else's hobby distro. Void is the real do it yourself deal.

@@EverydayLinuxUser There are loads of things that just cannot be run online, either for performance reasons (these things cannot be fixed in the browser), security reasons (because the browser isn't secure), or due to functionality reasons e.g. there is stuff on the command line that is just too difficult to do with a GUI, or other stuff that requires direct hardware access. Or the browser cannot do them because it simply lags functionality with a proper OS. Some of these cannot be ever fixed in a browser (I work as a web applications developer) without turning the browser into something else fundamentally. @@dave7244 As much as I agree with most of what you said, I don't think AI is just a massive bubble..
