Can you edit a pattern. Like pick a pattern to put in user then edit say delete or add like Tom or ride? Thanks. Really looking at this pedal for live performance.

@80sman802 ай бұрын
@marcoagius6926 I don't know much about the SR16 but I'd say not, if you are happy enough with the 16...drum sounds won't be much different, but obviously the 18 will offer more options.

@80sman802 ай бұрын
@checkbox1234 hi, I love it...it's extremely good for pads and even though I write my own patches, I also purchased some really good patch banks to add to it, which really show what it's capable of. I have the 16 voice which if mixing 2 sounds together, means you don't suffer voice stealing. Add a reverb pedal and you will transform this synth even further...

Hi, late to the party, but I wonder if it is advisable to lay out the song on some kind of paper template before doing the actual programming? Also, is the preferred technique to play the song on piano or guitar and figure out the structure and duration on paper first? Please advise.
@80sman803 ай бұрын
@PanyingPilot I used the sr18 only for drum tracks to cover songs. So I'd write out the song structure first I.e. number of bars in intro, verses, chorus, bridge and outro. Then wrote the drum patterns and then piece together in song mode and save.
@PanyingPilot3 ай бұрын
@@80sman80 Thanks for the insight. Did you ever make a pdf printable form to use as a planner? I think it would help planning and logging songs to an archive. If so, perhaps you might wish to share it it by email, or here by naming the columns and row labels. Tks..Glenn

@@80sman80 Something you did not touch on but is important to me is knowing whether I can insert both user and preset patterns in a song. In your example, you use user created patterns for the count in, drum bears and fills. I'd like to start a test with my user count in pattern followed with a preset drum beat. How is this switching out of user accomplished?
@80sman803 ай бұрын
@PanyingPilot I never used presets in a song. However the principle should be the same and you can build a song using the presets. Another way would be to copy your preset to your User bank
