This song Sucks!! I know PRINCE did not help him write this horrible song. I have not heard a single song that i like by him!!! Loved him with PRINCE in the early days, love his work with Jody Watley!!! But his music makes No sense to me!!! The previous comment is right, HE IS TRYING TOO HARD TO BE LIKE PRINCE, BUT THEN HE'S NOT! HE DOESN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! HE IS NO TERRY LEWIS AND JIMMY JAM! HE SHOULD STICK WITH PRODUCING!!!

Realy... I knew this song for years and years already, and for as far I know the song did not reach much on popularity in Europe, but apparently it took me up to may 2024 to hear that Andre Cymone (c'mon... lol) had the same inspiration as Michael Jackson did in the early eighties for his song "Behind the mask" (didn't made it on the Thriller track list at the time, but was released after his death). Behind the mask is heavily inspired by the same titled track from Japanese band 'Yellow Magic Orchestra'

1:14 The guitar player mimed the fretting of the solo as done on the record. This isn't an easy run, and is removed from the three finger lead style common at that time. In fact, it might be considered "proto-shred" as Yngwie Malmsteen 's first record was out at the same time, but names like Vai, Batio, Gambale weren't as well known as they are today.
