Special place. Nice story. - I rode thru Death Valley in the early 80's, Honda 500 V-Twin, water cooled, shaft drive. Got to the Valley (bottom) at 7:00 am and it was already 95 degrees F. Goal was to move thru fairly quickly. - Thanks for the memories.

@almariapritomuk4193 depending on where you are in life, making friends could be a challenge these days. I think I’m at the age where I can pick and choose who I want to be friends with. But my son, for example, has difficulty making friends at such a young age. Why? As connected as we are these days with our smartphones and social media, I think there’s a big disconnect when it comes to personal interaction and relationships - including making friends. Thanks!! @tinawardle6841 I’m trying to convince my wife to ride with me but she is understandably scared. Not just for our own safety but also concerned about our boys in case something happens to both of us. I share that same sentiment with my wife before I started riding. But then I realized you can’t think about those things when on a motorcycle. The more you think about it, the higher the chances of it happening. So now, with the right mindset and safety in mind, I feel safer than ever when riding. I am confident that I will get home to my family at the end of the day. Happy Holidays!!

Folks, this is not just about lane splitting. Yes I may only be going 20mph, but I could easily add speed and change directions in a split second to move away from a possible collision. That is the point of the video. Thanks for your feedback and for watching. Be safe out there!

What a great safety tip. Showing riders exactly what not to do.
@motofriedchicken Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I thought the same at first but then realized the logic behind it. The reality is, the more you stay idle (not moving) or riding slowly where cars are speeding next to you, the higher the chances of getting hit. That’s one of the reasons lane splitting is legal here in California.
@Dan-qz8do Жыл бұрын
He's riding slowly and safely. There's nothing wrong with that.
@bmoturtleco Жыл бұрын
@@motofriedchicken just because it is legal does not mean it is logical. The common misconception of it being safer is often used to justify this childish behavior as well as the need for cooling of the bikes. Part of riding is being aware of your surroundings. Lane splitting is one of the most dangerous things a rider can do. It puts you in far more danger than sitting still.
@bmoturtleco Жыл бұрын
@@Dan-qz8do in most places, were they foolishly allowed lane splitting, they require traffic to be at a stand still or less than a particular speed. It is not just about the rider but the surrounding drivers. When lane splitting, drivers are less likely to see you, thus leading to more accidents. Furthermore, it puts riders and drivers further at odds.
@motofriedchicken Жыл бұрын
@@bmoturtleco law is based on logic - if not taken out of context. There’s nothing childish here, this is life and death serious. Although I do know that there are some who take advantage of this law. Either way, I hope you give them a little bit of space next time you’re on the highway. ✌🏼
@Dan-qz8do Жыл бұрын
When I used to ride that was the way to travel. The whole reason to have a bike is to pass everything slower than you.
@motofriedchicken Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. The point is to be comfortable with your speed and to use it to lower the chance of you getting into a collision. Have a nice day and be safe out there!
