You guessed correctly with ‘puts’ for the present tense. However, the video was focused on teaching the past tense. In the phrase “She ---- the book on the table,” you would use “puts” if you are referring to a present action and “put” if you are referring to a past action. Present tense: “She puts the book on the table.” Past tense: “She put the book on the table.” I hope this is helpful.

When he asked her that "What's your favourite dessert?" Then she answered "My favourite dessert is ice-cream." But in ice-cream the first letter was 'i' and 'i' is an vowel and everyone had studied in school that"There are 5 vowels A,E,I,O,U. And before these letters we always use an article "an" and before consonants we always use "a". But this sentence has no article. WHY CAN YOU EXPLAIN ME? . Oh don't go on my tense because I am week in it but now I have been learning tenses for the past 2 years.........But still I love this video what they talked about I always use in my daily life

You're absolutely right about the vowels and articles in general! We use "an" before vowel sounds (like "an apple") and "a" before consonant sounds (like "a banana"). However, there's an exception for mass nouns. Ice cream is a mass noun. These nouns refer to substances that are not countable in individual units. Think of things like water, sugar, flour, or even happiness. We can't say "one ice cream" or "two happinesses." Because of that, we don't use articles (a/an/the) before them in most situations. So, in the sentence "My favorite dessert is ice cream," "ice cream" functions as a mass noun, and that's why there's no article. I hope this helps. Thanks for your kind words. Keep up the learning!
