Well, Christmas is coming and I was thinking about sinking my teeth in an rpg, I’m considering yours and others advise and replaying inquisition. I loved the premise of the game so maybe it’s high time to venture past hinterlands.

Trust me this was not the intension, I know history well enough. That being said I see how this could have been interpreted, since a few people felt the same way as you did. But if you see Ukrainians getting upset because of something like that its because USSR is a bad part of history for them, they dont want to be associated with anything Soviet or Russian at all. Back in the day USSR rulers made everything to erase the difference between slav ppl so everyone in the world will think that slav=soviet=russian etc. Very strong propaganda for many many years and as we see its working even today ppl often say its the same when in reality Ukraine was made part of USSR by force, yo ucan call it colony if it will be easier to understand. So you can image what Ukrainians feel when they see Soviet flag next to something of Ukrainian origin. What makes it even worse, Russia is proud of their Soviet past and invasion was partially to "bring back" lost colonies (Ukraine) under their rule. For that reason Ukrainians dont want to be associated with Soviet even more. I know its annoying to read and all that but unfortunately ignorance is what makes propaganda works even better

They fired all the passionate writers because idiots thought they were unimportant, and just a nuisance. Now the few talents they have left were working overtime, but got overruled in key areas like plot and even genre. Exodus is where the REAL Bioware devs went (aside from David Gaider, who has his own thing going and teamed up with Laura Bailey for a musical game project.)
