Just a quick question. Out of all the rods and reels you have used for canals for trout or salmon fishing. What would you recommend the most. Also ones that both suits soft baits and egg rolling of that is possible to get both in one’s rod. Cheers

@@Kelly-gn7vr probably could give you a full run down of the best rods on the market but it’s all depending on what you really like. It’s how you fish, not so much on the rod. That’s why I went with Abu Garcia we theyre affordable and really good for their price! Anything that’s 1-3KG and 7ft will be a good way to start.

Could you explain the still you installed on the right side of the reel? I saw some Japanese anglers use the similar thing, is it just to protect the reel from scratching when you lay it on the ground?

Dip them in the water before casting. This hardens them a lot and helps them stay on the hook.

Use light tackle mate, 6lb braid and 6lb fluorocarbon leader. Less is best, always fish finesse
