Nice relaxed field. Nearly had sheep pie for the evening. Do you have any mods for strengthening the landong gear for grass or is it box stock? Cheers

😂😂 🐑🐑 lamb's on the menu boys. No upgrades on this apart from a 3d printed nose gear support. Other than that it's all stock, oh and the afterburner kit.

They don't really, we have to move them off before flying. The mess they leave behind is horrendous, but the dedicated grass cutting team sort this with the mower...muck spreading at its finest 🤣

That’s awesome ….i always like the unusual models …40 years ago I built one of these from a plan ,but was never finished …so planning to finally do one ,Sarik have a few plans available ..but I didn’t know which one would be the best flying model ..

Yes manuals cog, I think possibly slightly forward, I've got lead sticky weights inside the cowl. First flight was tail heavy and a handful.

Thanks for your question, sorry about the delayed response but couldn't remember so had to wait until I had chance to get in the workshop. Motor is a Propdrive 42-48 650kv running a 12 x 8 prop on a 5s 3700mah battery. I have also modified the firewall to allow the battery to slide as far forward as possible to save having to add extra nose weight.

Hey what engine are you running in the peashooter?..i have one still in the box ad also a saito fg60r3, should run this plane well.. I would aim for anything from 25 to 30% of the wing chrord to balance, thats the first thing i do when checking out a new plane..not always rely on the instructions
@sheeeene7
@sheeeene7 Жыл бұрын
Apparently the CG is right at 120mm back from the leading edge, I've got mine at about 112mm. I'm thinking it wasn't a CG issue as I found an intermittent fault with one aileron servo so am hoping that's what caused it to act strange. Luckily just minor damage occurred on the first flight and a couple of hours has got it looking like new again. I'm running a DLE35RA in it.

@sheeeene7 glad you got it down safe and repaired..well having a bad aileron can cause issues, i maidened a seagull bucker jungmeister last week and a aileron linkage came apart..it was flying fine til i hit some turbulence and come close to a crash but managed to pull out,and the first landing was terrible, upgrading landing gear now to accommodate pump up wheels the p26 has crap wheels, almost plastic tyres

Love the photobombing by the moon at various points and a beautiful flight culminating in a hover before landing, as if to take a bow. About 60 years ago we (the family) had a series of dolphins with one going OOS from Epom downs in the direction of Kent. No D/T.
