Great tone! This piece sounds really epic. I do have some very small advice: while your vibrato sounds very nice, it may be best to only apply it during your solo as using vibrato while playing in unison can mess with the tuning of the group (UNLESS your band director tells you it’s fine; then you can go ahead and use it). :D Also take all my advice with a grain of salt as I am in no way a professional lol

It’s giving… great flute playing :D My only advice is that the ring finger is meant to be lifted rather than the middle for the trill at 0:17. This is just because this piece is in the key of A major so the F sharp should translate into the trill (unless written as otherwise)

I’m going to rant here cuz I don’t know who else to rant to so anyways my single tonguing speed has always been pretty slow (like sixteenth notes at 80bpm max) and I tried working it up to at least 90 over the summer and never achieved my goal and assumed it was a huge skill issue. So anyway in October I wrote down my final tonguing speed in my flute exercise book (which was around 84 bpm) Today while I was practicing Allegretto at 100bpm I started tonguing sixteenth notes and realized… I WAS TONGUING SIXTEENTH NOTES?! My single tonguing speed went up around 20 beats and I’m so happy :) So anyways enough about me! Your sight reading is very clean! I wish you were in my band to carry us. Our sight reading sessions always end up turning into lectures! You sound amazing!!!

I totally get that, I've felt guilty too for not practicing enough or not progressing as much as I expected myself to, especially before auditions. Staying motivated is hard, everyone struggles with it so don't blame yourself too much. I hope you do good at auditions and make the band! Good luck!
