The sounds this ensemble produces are glorious from the first note to the last!

This music reminds me of the time I lived near Istanbul, Turkey during the 60's. It is modal based upon the many ragas of Mother India.

I wish I lived in Istanbul in the 60 's as well. You must have stories to tell!

Based on Abd al-Qadir al-Maraghi school that actually came from Iran, not India.

I already subscribe to several early music websites, but maybe you'll introduce me to some new performers, such as Song.

Long introduction.

Wonderfully old-school, delightfully anachronistic, "belcanto-meets-gregoran" interpretation, with vibrato, dynamic variations, solo-chorus and all the trimmings. A breath of the fresh air in the world of sectarian wars between the early-music factions, who's more authentic and historical. I like it, as much as I like fusion cuisine. Not for everyone, ofc. Thank you, beautiful voices!

Too wide of a vibrato for this music. Otherwise lovely voice.

Thank you for creating this opportunity. I learned a lot and hope to learn more. I loved Susan and Clifton sharing their knowledge with us.
