Soon as I saw the heavy 50 cal hanging above everything else, I stopped watching these idiots.

??? Why? That 50 is a display piece... and we have it on display. We also have a MK19 and several shoulder launch systems. We used these back in the day, as proof of concept to show the Army and Marine Corps how our Cradle-grid Tech could solve all their armory storage problems. - Note: It worked out well, As of 2011, SecureIt is the primary suppler of small arms storage systems to the US military. Our core business is designing and building armories for the US and our Ally fighting forces. These weapons are on display at our office as part of our history.

@@TomKubiniec-Secureit If I have to explain why, then all the more reason for someone to be chagrined. If it is a plastic/fake "display" piece, then OK, but it still sends the wrong message.

@@bigyote SecureIt is the Global leader in military weapon storage and armory design. We also make consumer products. That back wall is a testament to our 23 years of working closely with the US military units. We also build the armories and tech areas for most of the US gun manufacturers. I am soory you find it offensive..... But this is what we do, and we are very good at it.

SecureIT, looks great! I've got a pair of Fastbox 47's and honestly, they sit empty because the 4 button lock on it is impossible to use in the dark and isn't especially easy to get into. The Fastbox, being under my bed (an already dark and hard to reach area) is simply too clunky to reliably and quickly open in an emergency with the unlit and small 4 button lock. I have to rely on a competitors bedside pistol safe versus reaching for a long gun in the Fastbox that I'd much rather be groping for during a bump in the night. Y'all did a 10/10 lock retrofit on the Agile series with that backlit keypad and biometric safe with the USB-C backup power. Please tell me that you're working on some kind of retrofit kit for the older generation fast boxes to bring them up to spec. As a current Fastbox 47 owner, I would *gladly* pay to upgrade my current 47's to these large button backlit biometric locks. Then I can put the fast back in Fastbox and use them as intended. I would imagine that the 4 keypad hole setup in the legacy series might require some kind of template, backer or other adapter to let one of these newer keypads fit. I'm sure it can be done. Please tell me you've got an engineer locked in some back room noodling out that problem.

I would never deal with any big box store for a safe. They lean on the safe manufacturers to build cheaper safes so they can compete. Buying a safe from a guy that sells paint one day and washing machines the next is not my go to guy for a safe. I hope @pam7002 saved enough at Home Depot to pay for the locksmith. Liberty wasn't the problem Home Depot was. My Liberty manual had the user code which I changed and the master rest code to change that if I wanted to. Did the geniuses that delivered the safe lock the paperwork inside of the safe?

one thing to consider is if you live in a city or town with an iso of 3 or below, youll probably have water on that fire within 10 minutes, and in an ISO , around 5 minutes of the 911 fall being made. You'll probably fare okay in that case, also consider the fire starting in a separate room. This is another reason we as firemen preach to keep your doors closed in your house. Your bedroom door will do an amazing job at keeping out the heat.

Which safe do you have? The Agiles all have mechanical override keys. And the biometric keypads have a usb-c port to plug in if your battery has died.

@@SecureItGunStorage Fast Box 52, energizer battery installed late July. 5 or 6 easy opens 3 where i had to enter the code a couple times and adjust the handle just right. The key is the only thing that works reliably, but i dont keep my keys by my bedside, they defeat the purpose and I cannot leave a key near it. A mechanical lock would be ideal in all situations. I have another locker but it works better and will get a mechanical lock soon.

A far better method is to enclose your firearms, ammunition, and other equipment in a fire rated and insulated room. Five eighths sheet rock walls and ceiling, steel or solid door with 1 hour rating and rated enclosure. Problem with effective rated safes is unless located in basement or slab is the weight. Guns survive the fire but are damaged when the weight causes the fire weakened floor joists to collapse. Other features to consider are smoke & CO detectors, fire alarm system (monitored) and full or partial residential sprinkler system outside of the safe. Do not cover the inside of safe. - Forty-six year fire service professional.

The worst part is that Liberty Safe did it on a phone call from the FBI. Their customer protection policy was so weak that the FBI didn't even have to present them with a warrant to get the code. Liberty Safes VOLUNTARILY offered up the information to the FBI.

Tom, you say in one of your replies below that it is easy to “cut almost any safe in half”…does your 12 ga. Answer Safe/Cabinet provide any more practical security for its contents than your lighter gauge/weight, less expensive Agile cabinets? Is there any practical advantage to your Answer 12ga cabinets over your Agile cabinets?

Anyone with a handheld cutoff power tool can get into any "safe" you'd find at your LGS. And just bolt it to the floor like any other "safe". If you can't do that, then just weld weights to the sides.

David, we would always suggest bolting your safe to the floor, wall or both no matter if it is our Agile safe, our Answer safe or our 1,200 lb Tru Safe

We changed lock body suppliers and were not able to update some of the instructions in time and the video was done with the older lock body. The new lock only uses three of the four mounting holes and will also sound different (louder) when unlocking. Both are normal and by design.
