I ordered a 2500HD ZR2 without the Bison package. Only thing about the 2500HD that I was not impressed with was the braking power. Test drove a LTZ and the brakes were very soft and spongy. Haven't received our truck yet but I'm sure it will be no different braking power wise.

I pulled up next to a Lunar Edition on the street a few days ago. The flat "battleship grey" paint looks quite nice; almost as nice as the Granite Silver paint.

Akrapovic, maybe downpipe or straight pipe. Edit: Downpipe and straight pipe only make the car powerful. If you don't want that, just change the exhaust.

Love the truck. If you have the duramax, do you have to tow with it or would it be okay to drive short distances without towing? Reason being I don’t really tow but a few times a year

It’s definitely a great vehicle for short distance driving. The fuel economy is decent and it rides quite nice especially for an off-road focused vehicle.

You can always order it with the gasoline engine but so far in canada at least I've been looking and haven't seen any dealers bring in the gasoline engine spec. 😢

The Silverado 5.3 has an estimated mpg of 16 City and 20 Highway. The Colorado 2.7 Trail Boss has an estimated mpg of 17 City and 21 Highway, slight difference in the fuel efficiency.

Not enough to make a difference. Especially if you need a larger truck, it's not worth trading in. Really one of the biggest negatives of the new Colorado, especially when the competition (Tacoma) gets 20+

@Mrniceguy959 why are you buying a truck if mpg is your main concern. It's a brick on wheels. If you buy a truck, buy it for trucks uses ands know that it's not designed for great mpg. If you want great mpg, don't buy a truck. That said, I've seen several on KZbin post that they are getting better than the epa ratings. Make sure you check what mode you're in. And don't lead foot it.
