I find it difficult staying systematic & sticking to IMIST AMBO while doing a handover to triage nurse, specially when pt has complicated Hx that led to his current presentation. Is there a way of portrait a story systematically in a way that doesn't seem disorganised

@@AD-ph9xb You can go by starting with details of the PT such as full name, age and UR#. Then go with presenting symptoms followed by relevant Hx. And finish with what has been done so far in terms of assessments and upcoming plan of investigation. I'm not a triage nurse, my background and current practice is a bit different. But I hope I helped.

Hi ! My question is in regard to work placement. Where you use to stay during your work placement as placement could be far away from the place you are residing ? How did you cope up staying away from home?

@@meenakshiuppal-st8wb Hi there! I used to stay at my rented house. They tend to send you for placements within 2 hours of driving. Not more than that. And if you accept an offer to do rural, then you need to organise and pay for your own accomodations and trip.

I used Floradix Iron, has vitamin B and C. Started working right away, a few days later and I feel much better. My ferritin was at 30, my iron all other blood was normal.

Yana this video makes me scared to go for nursing .. 😢 this was one of the issues I was really worried about.. would you say you feel generally scared as a nurse.. or does this only happen sometimes and nursing is ok most of the time or is this constant .. making you want to leave this profession 🙏

I would not say I'm scared to be a nurse. Violent pts can oppose risks to everyone, not just nurses. However, we have security on call who can help, and if there are male nurses on shift, they can be assigned to more difficult pts. You as a nurse are not required to put yourself in danger. Remember that. If something looks not right, just step away.

I only have a Dyson V8 atm. It cleans my cats fur better on the carpets. But in general Aldi stick is great if you don't have pats in the house. It does the job well.
