Hi Lou. Nice sharing. Maybe could you look at exposure blending using luminosity mask. It will make your life much easier, especially for the blown highlights of the windows. Anthony Turnham has a nice series of tutorials ;-)
@louimagin.learnretouching20 күн бұрын
That's a different technique that you can use yes :) You gotta be extra careful with it tho
@taolu0319 күн бұрын
Not at all, same technique. Just a complementary tool to make your selections. You could do exactly the same and only use luminosity masking to make your window selections. They would be more precise ans much faster. The pen tools is not always the best option (think bright day light with shades or some objects and a plant in front of the windows...)

Command C, command V is not behaving for me. It's not putting the images in a stack of layers as one file? It's just making a 2nd copy of the file but not grouping them under one group of layers
@louimagin.learnretouchingАй бұрын
@@Phocasa did you use the action ?
@BoomerLicksАй бұрын
No actually, I thought the script would run after those layers were added with command c/v. I’ll check out the script. It’s weird though, I clicked on the tabs of open files and used command c/v just like you did and it just didn’t work for me.
@louimagin.learnretouchingАй бұрын
@@BoomerLicks oh hold on, you're referring to the file organization. Are your photos opened as a smart object ? You can know that if the layer has a little rectangle on the bottom right of your layer icone. If it's not a smart object it's going to be locked (locker icon on the right of the text layer) It has to be a smart object or be unlocked for you to be able to do cmd C/cmd V

@@louimagin.learnretouching BTW honestly thanks you so much for such a great tutorial! I also hate the automatic results.. they look just bad. But I haven't found a right way to over do this jobs.. and it was tedious! I am working as a photographer did a lot of different projects.. and I am self-taught.. and Its the hard way to learn... closing doors, but learning overtime!
