So how do you feel about the Revo announcement? As for Tekken, I was expecting it to be Goh as the final DLC since that's Harada's favourite VF character & there hasn't been a Judoka in Tekken. But now that the character is gonna be announced in TGA, it's probably Tifa. I don't know when would VF6 drop, but if Revo is gonna be there, then VF6 is at least some years away ...

Great informative video. Ive been using mine for 9 months and absolutely love it.
@tokyobassist22 күн бұрын
I know this video is old but it's worth pointing out regarding the Otto kits that the stainless steel pivot adds extra weight to the shaft and is a combo worth using a touch of grease on (Steel pivot/Teflon core) for a smoother glide despite being advised against. The benefit of this set up is it pretty much negates a lot of the recoil when returning to neutral helping prevent accidental inputs. The Teflon pivot/Steel core combo requires zero grease/maintenance and no extra weight is added to the shaft. This might helpful to people who just can't seem to feel a difference in spring tensions where everything feels the same with the steel pivot setup. There are benefits to both set ups but it depends on what you play and how you play. Otherwise it comes down to whether you want a whether low maintenance/no maintenance and which feel you prefer. Me personally I'd just recommend the steel core because the added weight from the pivot while nice doesn't feel gel with the Sanwa progressive tension springs very well and makes everything feel like a 2lb spring (I like 2lb but it still a huge downside from people who prefer lighter tension). Cheers brother! Hope you plan on more gear vids because I'm loving the V3 Type R and love to hear your thoughts on it.

Can you put a sanwa JLF extended shaft in this? Or use one of the extender pieces? I prefer the extra length. If not, are there longer Korean shafts?
@Chanchai_VFАй бұрын
@@c0nk2879 my guess is that the only shaft you should replace a Crown/Samducksa Shaft with is another Crown/Samducksa Shaft and I personally would not go that. However… You can use different handles to get a similar effect like using a capsule top. To extend it a little more I would use 2 washers and a Golden Lever capsule top (but any more washers is not recommended). But if you look around, perhaps someone has made extended Crown/Samducksa shafts. I’m just unaware if it, myself 🙏🏼 But a very good question!
@c0nk2879Ай бұрын
@@Chanchai_VF thanks so much for the advice. it's hard to get information on this. interesting, so by using 2 washers under the joystick you are physically raising it by putting tension on the grommet? i didn't know you could do that, i've only worked with sanwas. i was thinking i'll maybe use a seimitsu bullet top would that work? will my jlf ball work?
@Chanchai_VFАй бұрын
@@c0nk2879 No no no hahaha. Let me clarify and thanks for asking so we have a chance to make it clear. We are not raising the shaft at all... the shaft is the same... The handle is the "ball top" or "bat top" and that is screwed onto the top of the shaft. I mentioned the Golden Lever Capsule Top but their Bat Top and Bullet Top and Bean Top all have this feature where... they actually sit semi-low on top of the shaft--but you can put a washer under them to raise the handle (like the bat). You can put up to two washers in this position for those handles, but no more than that. If you put like 3 washers under the capsule top, the problem is the threads on the shaft will only be a little bit connected to the shaft and then you would have an increased chance of breaking part of the threaded shaft off. I don't know if I would advise doing this with other handles... but this is technically a way to increase the height of the lever, by raising up the handle with washers--but you need to make sure that enough of the handle is secured to the shaft for proper functioning. We don't want to break the shaft. Hope this makes sense! Please let me know if it is confusing, I can do a video later or something.
@c0nk2879Ай бұрын
@@Chanchai_VF does the GL Ball Top handle have this feature as well? Is it the solid or hollow option, and what kind of washers would be used?
@Chanchai_VFАй бұрын
@ you can raise a balltop with washers as long as there is plenty of tread 🙏🏼 But I would be careful and use judgment. Try not to raise it too high.

is the V3 a good lever for both 2d and tekken? I want a lever that can do both without swapping all the time with my stick.
@Chanchai_VFАй бұрын
@@JZT97 that’s a good question! It’s a tricky one because I think what makes a good Tekken lever for you can be very personal. From my observations, Tekken 8 plays well on many types of levers, especially compared to Tekken 7 or other Tekken titles. Because of how many good players I see playing Tekken 8 with Sanwa (but a lot of the very best use K-levers), then I am more confident in saying that Sanjuks V3 can be great for players who Tekken 8 great on a Japanese lever. However, I have to still point out that I usually see performance improvements in levers in Tekken 8 and other Tekken titles when playing with Korean levers. So Sanwa V6 and especially V7 are more in line with Tekken. For me personally, if I wanted to use something to play both Tekken 8 and 2D fighters, I would probably personally like medium throw with a light handle and light tension. But that’s me. I personally favor a Golden Lever build for that but similar levers would be Shinsun 2d, Crown 309-NewHelpMe, or Sanjuks V6. But I do think more traditional K-levers are best for Tekken. I think the V3 is strong on any game you are happy or fine playing Sanwa JLF on. I think it’s a big experience upgrade in that use case. I think Tekken 8 is more friendly to the V3 than Tekken 7.

How do Crown 202s stack up against Gamer Fingers?
@Chanchai_VF2 ай бұрын
Crown 202s are actually my personal favorite buttons, though I do think the negative input on Gamerfinger are slightly better (hard to objectively measure, though). That said... there is something I would like to address about Gamerfinger Buttons in a future video and that is... Gamerfinger plungers (the part of the button you press) are not locked into the housing with tabs the way that most other buttons are. For games that let me play one finger per button (like VF, DOA, Soul Caliber, or old school Neo Geo), this generally does not pose much problem (though it can). But for games like Street Fighter where you might be hitting P3 at various angles with your ring finger, this is likely to lead to eventually having the plunger popping off (not in the good way) after a lot of off-angle hits. I can imagine Marvel vs, Capcom 2 players causing a lot of plungers flying after a good amount of sessions. You can always put the plunger back in very easily but depending on the way you press the button, you might run into this too often. So that is my caveat about the Gamerfinger buttons. I still like them and I still play them in tournament, but my primary game has my fingers directly pressing the button from the top and not so much at a more parallel angle. The other update I would mention is that Gamerfinger Buttons are now much more available through Amazon or AliExpress but the price ends up being the same as importing them from Japanese or Korean shops. You can also order plungers and this can save a lot on customizability. The caveat to that is I don't know if they are counterfeit buttons, but to me they perform the same. Back on the Crown-202... I'll say what I really love about the 202s - The hard plastic feel is a high quality feel. I really love the hard plastic feel of 202s, especially on solid white/black plungers. The chrome buttons feel good too. Clears feel very good but a little dampened in comparison. - The actuation is pretty much my preference. I think the performance is fantastic. - The feeling of pushing the buttons I really like, you can tell it's a keyboard switch but you still have that high durability arcade feel! - The sound is good, they are quieter than Sanwa though they are not exactly silent buttons. - I am always happy playing on 202s. Though I should also point out that I think 30mm 202s feel even better than 24mm 202s but I personally like 24mm 202s a lot too.
