Sorry, slow reply, my memory is white lithium marine grease as it was rated better for wear and somewhat water resistant.

I’ve heard the slip yokes could bind if you over grease them? I saw another video where they greased the slip yokes then after putting vehicle on ground they loosened the zirc and used the AHC to drop the vehicle to let any extra grease squirt out.

Hi Scott,Max here, nice introduction of the channel, I’d love to see mainly videos on LX570 diy maintenance. I have 2013 LX and recently did AHC oil change by myself, it’s so much joy to work on your car, and having some video guidance on things like lubricating drive shaft that you’ve made is very very helpful. Much love, greetings from Poland

Thank you for this video! I have the same vehicle. Is it just me, or does your LX also seem to wander over the road? I have new tires, alignment the whole 9 yards. Is it because of the hydraulic suspension? It has always been that way. I'm just curious to know if that is just the way this vehicle drives. The steering seems to follow every little dip in the road surface.
@OGDIY-itseasy4 ай бұрын
Apologies for the delay, I would want to compare with other vehicles as all my vehicles can wander a bit based on road crown, imperfections, etc, and my LX drives similarly. I am not a pro at diagnosis, but has yours had the ball joints checked or has it ever been in a front end accident? For mine, I could not attribute any wandering to hydraulics, mine is well planted.
@natcoziay4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your response. No I haven't had the ball joints checked and there hasn't been any front end collisions. I will start with having the ball joints checked out. Thank you!

1up has locks that lock wheels to rack support bars. I wouldn't consider your wife's bike stable with how low the brace is with the fender. I don't think 1up is designed for bikes with fenders. Otherwise a great rack.
@OGDIY-itseasy5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion on the wheel locks, I just ordered them. The rack product materials discusses fitment for bikes with fenders and when adjusted appropriately her bike is quite secure, other than the miss of not having wheel Velcro straps. Still very pleased with the rack’s super ease of use.

I have the 1Up rack, and have had to replace the horizontal silver teeth part on two of my racks, but they are relatively cheap and very easy to swap out.
@OGDIY-itseasy5 ай бұрын
This is great to hear as I really like the rack. Cheers to 1Up for making parts available, but would also like to see an approach where the teeth don’t wear out, as a consumer my expectation is my bike doesn’t hit the payment at high speed due to worn out teeth. Will definitely check out parts replacement option.

Hey brother, I noticed you didn’t add the smaller gasket on the filter housing cap. I highly encourage you to go back and add this on. Luckily it’s not too late and won’t cause you too much of an issue to take it off, add the gasket and put it back on. Good luck!
