I have found adding the "Add Perpendicular Passes" to also be very helpful with cleaning up the finish when using a ball endmill. It causes the mill head to go up and down the slope instead of just across. Vertigo CNC - I wish I had found your video before I struggled my way through this process! 😆Great video, very well done!

Is it possible to make a macroprogramm for ballnose chamfer milling?
@trizneena2 жыл бұрын
Great and quick explanation. One thing I have been trying to find though is, if moving from inside outwards, the side of the bit is milling quite a thick stock of material, is there a better way to do this like from outside in or is it not an issue?

Hi Nick, I have a old 600 x 600 cnc router and I use Easel and Vcarve desktop and I would like to try some carving projects, but don't know where to start. I also see that Vertigo have taken over by some one else. My email is [email protected] if you can help an old 70 year old out. Cheers

What's the reasoning behind using roller wheels on y axis? Is the top part using linear rods?

Hey Nick, your projects look awesome. Just wondering how you went about getting the picture of the Tui’s to machining them and on what software? Currently, I find an image online and then use an online converter to convert to svg to import to fusion to model it up. Problem I have, especially if its a more detailed svg (e.g a photo, which I am current trying to engrave for a friend) is that fusion cant process it/ my computer cant. So am interested in what process you use?? And what kind of operation you used to fill in the tui rather than just an outline? Cheers

Hi Brett, great video! Very helpful for people new to machining like myself. Looking forward to the feeds and speeds video you mentioned, I definitely need a better understanding of that! Would be great to see a video about general machine maintenance as well!

Great video, good info, nice to see speeds and feeds etc being displayed. Ever thought of supplying a silicon boot for the clamps for those jobs where you don't have a big enough edge margin. Very professional video. Keep up the great work!

I would buy an MXN3-NEPTUNE If I wasn't building my own machines.You wanted my honest thoughts, so here it goes; The video was awesome, very close to flawless. packed with a tone of information, you explained them well and made it simple. Great work man, pretty impressive. I liked it a lot. And a big thumbs up to your Videographer.
