This isn’t comedy in anyway… I go to small local comedy shows and this is just annoying

When I ask someone's name, I do clarify how it's spelled. But I only do that when it's a name that I've seen spelled more than one way. Like Cody. And not like Claire. Worst improv show I ever did was at this theatre like 15 years ago. The suggestion we got was from a guy in a leather jacket that probably not only had never seen improv, but possibly had never been in a theatre, or maybe even indoors. He wasted no time in responding to our request with "gay brothel goes shopping for lingerie... on rollerskates!!!" Try having a good show after that.
