In my playthrough alex was the one helping Conrad with the flooded door. I had a choice with Conrad to either say that im not ready yet or yell "now!" And when I chose not ready yet he got crushed with olson

You can actually survive failing the Don't Move section in Glamour Girl chapter if Alex gives Conrad the kitchen knife, and you don't even need to kill the character chasing you, refusing to attack just makes him threaten them with the knife and then he runs.
