Video really Obviously shows an almost real first time approach :) 2 years ago obviously. Anyway with basic weapons even legendary its a tough machine... as shown here. But already with an hunter bow coiled for tearing off is helping a lot. Aiming on weapons and tail doing a lot more damage than this pounding arrows in the machines head :) of course it takes a lot longer. I never felt the slaughterspine a lot more tougher than those other machines. Maybe because throughout my play through i constantly took time to upgrade the weapons? After starting to use the more roping approach game really becomes quite easy. But for me always hunter bow pushing the tear off in any way is very effective.

I had trouble with this one too. And I took all the removable weapons out, and it got even more aggro. It became very difficult to dodge by the end.

They're fucking annoyingly tanky and aggressive. Not only that but you also can't shoot the sac in the chest which was the go to method for killing them in Frozen Wild dlc, unless you don't need the upgrade mats
