How is it compared to the Wingman?

Thanks for the comment, to answer your question. The Leatherman Rev Is lightweight, weighing in at just 5.9 ounces, which makes it easy to carry around without feeling like a burden. On the other hand, the Leatherman Wingman has a slightly more robust build. It’s a bit heavier at 7 ounces, but it feels sturdier in the hand. The Wingman has a more polished finish and a few more curves, giving it a modern look compared to the more minimalist Rev. When it comes to tools, the differences become more pronounced. The Leatherman Rev includes 14 tools, focusing on basic functionality. You get essentials like a knife, pliers, wire cutters, a package opener, and a few screwdrivers. The Rev is great if you need a straightforward tool for everyday tasks. The Wingman steps it up with 14 tools as well, but it includes some extras. It has a spring-action mechanism for the pliers, scissors, and wire cutters, which makes it much easier to use, especially for repetitive tasks. The Wingman also includes a file and a can/bottle opener, adding to its versatility. In terms of portability, both tools are compact, but the Rev has a slight edge due to its lighter weight. If you’re planning to carry a multi-tool in your pocket or on a belt clip daily, the Rev might be more comfortable. Price-wise, the Rev is generally more affordable. If you’re on a budget and need a reliable multi-tool for basic tasks, the Rev offers great value. The Wingman is a bit more expensive, but the extra features and improved ease of use can justify the higher price if you need those additional capabilities. Both tools are durable and reliable, and either one would be a great addition. It just depends on which features matter most to you.

Good video, the REV is largely overlooked. Myself included, but maybe I’ll re-consider. Currently I have a Sidekick, Wingman and a Bolster…I’ve avoided the REV for the lack of spring action pliers. That said the Bolster is my favorite of the series.

The spring action pliers make a big difference, I think that this feature goes overlooked too often. I would also say that there are plenty of individuals that don't realize that there are different versions of and use cases. I will say the wire-stripper on the Bolster is a great feature, countless times this would have been handy to have.

My Rev is my daily carry. I carry a Knifeless Rebar for work, because of the toolset and the knife regulations at work. The Rev has most of what I need and the pocket clip is well made. I forget I even have it clipped to my pocket, which the Charge I used to carry, I pretty much always felt it and it was bigger and harder to get in my pocket to get change out or something else.

I am with you on wanting to have something that has what I need, but also is small and light enough that it's not a burden to carry. It is rather annoying when I reach in to grab something from my pocket and I am unable to get past the multitool. I will say I have not had this problem while using the Rev though. I am using the Rev as my EDC as well and one thing I would change is that the package opener should be easier to access. I don't want to use the knife to open boxes etc.

I tried a dipstick extraction pump many years ago - it left a lot of oil behind. A quart or so, judging by the amount of new oil it took. Now it is academic; changing the oil filter on my gen 3 Prius takes most of the same steps that draining the oil does. Same getting under he car, removing the same panel, having an oil drain pan at hand. From there it is just one more bolt and replacing the washer.

Personally, I have had great success with the oil extractor pumps, the car in the video has the oil filter on top so I never need to get under the car at all its been quite nice.
