I once tried one of these in a music store and it’s definitely not a Peavey 5150 or Marshall. Is this amp based on a Fender Twin?

I just installed the white manmade ivory Tusque nut on my 98 American Strat. What a game changer. The nut was simple to install. I just needed to sand off the bottom nub and take a little off one side to make it fit. The height was much better and as result, I was able to get my action lower than from the factory! Plus string clarity and sustain is much improved. Highly recommended!!

Tusq doesn’t look as good as unbleached bone but after fitting a few myself I have to say they’re now my favorite. Of course you have to do some refitting out of the box to fit your guitar but I have to say I really like tusq now. Feel and fit and sound is right on. Wish they’d offer an off white/creme one not just white and black. But whatever. And they sure don’t break so easy like the bone ones either. Great product!

Can't really get into this without the lcd screen. I mean it didn't take much battery power and was digitally accurate for the time. Which is important.

Love this bridge but am a bit hesitant to file the saddles. Is this 100% necessary?
@Satchmoeddie Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! I bought the 510 bridge & stop bar in gold with $204 gold locking Grover minis for a Japanese made 1980s Les Paul killer. The neck angle is very shallow on the Vantage guitar, so adjusting the saddles really has me cursing a lot. Either the stop bar is in the way or the bridge pickup is in the way of those #1 Phillips saddle screws. I think I am going to have to pull out the bridge pickup, set it aside, flip the bridge around, set up the guitar's action, intonate it, remove the strings again put the pickup back in and restring it again.

anyone here tell me if its good enough to gig?
@ZOIMIBiIE Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this video! I actually just got a new mid-upper-tier guitar this week and it came with a typical tuneomatic bridge and tail piece. However, on my low E, there’s just barely not enough space to properly intonate which is incredibly frustrating. I’d planned on doing some upgrades to the guitar anyway, so I wound up ordering this bridge and tailpiece. Out of curiosity though, do you think the gotoh bridge would work with the standard tailpiece? Not a big deal either way, just occurred to me during the video. In theory you’d imagine it to work cause the string spacing remains the same?
@Satchmoeddie Жыл бұрын
Yes it will work fine with any stop bar, trapeze, frequensator, EDS6-12 style hook tail piece, string through body inserts, etc.
@ZOIMIBiIE Жыл бұрын
@@Satchmoeddie I wound up slapping the gotoh bridge and saddle on it and it intoned fine. I’m actually a huge fan of both now and am looking to swap a couple other ones to these

Is this a Mexican stratocaster? Can I find out the model? I ordered the same one for myself and I'm worried that it won't fit.

That is super good to know about filing the bridge. I'll probably look elsewhere with that in mind.

This bridge is gold, Ive mounted this set black to my vendetta 1.0 with APG bridge pickup… it sounds now. Id say it was flat before, and after guitar rings and have more round sound. Now ill install second chrome one in dean ML o flage… im little worried about the action though

That nut looks like it has a radius to it but wouldn’t sanding cause it to run flat?
@charlie-obrien2 жыл бұрын
He was fitting a 12" radius. That's also what I have and it's pretty flat. With that particular nut you just have to smooth a bit of that nib off.

Good succinct video, just put a VSVG on my Warmoth Strat. My first tremolo, took a while to set it up from scratch, but the process was fun and instructive. I would have forgotten to solder a ground wire if you hadn't mentioned it. I only needed the 3 supplied springs to set it up as a decked trem as well. I've seen many people say you need 4 or 5. Of course, it depends on how tight or loose you the spring action. I don't have that feel yet, since it's my first time tremming. 3 seems just fine.

You can access the set screw by inserting the bar and pressing to the body (like a dive bomb) and then while you hold it in that position, you can access the set screw from the back without taking anything apart.
@Bowbie543 жыл бұрын
I heard someone say you needed to remove it to adjust that set screw, I thought the same thing as you, just push the whammie bar down to expose that screw.
