Thank you for your question. Please note error 50.22.00 means the machine does not detect the heating element is warming up. Following is the troubleshooting procedure: 1. After getting the error check if the fixing film is hot or cold. If it is hot, then the likely reason of the problem is that the thermistors inside the fuser unit are dirty or not properly seated. Reassemble the fixing film assembly making sure the thermistors are clean and properly seated. If the fixing film is cold, then proceed to step 2. 2. Check the resistance between fuser unit contacts as it is shown at 8:53 in the video (the normal resistance for 110V fuser units is lower than showed in the video). You will likely find the circuits are open. If so, you will need to find where the circuit is exactly open: o The heating element connector is not fully seated o The thermoswitch is open o The heating element is installed in wrong direction o The heating element is broken or defective Thank you for your interest!

Hello, Very likely you made a serious mistake when disassembling the dum unit. You removed the two screws that hold the arm-spacer on the front support plate. The location of the arm-spacer is factory-adjusted to keep the proper gap between the OPC drum and the developer roller. If you remove (or even loosen) these screws and reinstall (or tighten) them, you break the adjustment. Now you may loosen these screws again, move the arm-spacer all the way toward the developer roller, then tighten the screws. This will prevent developer pulling, but you may get lighter image on the front side of printed pages or horizontal light banding at about 1-inch interval because the gap has become too big. You may try to fine-adjust the location of the arm-spacer but it is very difficult to catch. The best way to solve this is to buy a new drum unit. Good luck!

When I was disassembling the drum unit, I removed the two screws that held the arm-spacer because some videos I watched on KZbin did it that way and from what you said, I can understand your point very well. I never knew it is way risky to remove the OPC drum that way. Now that I know, I won't remove the drum unit that way again. Thank you sir. I will try what you have just said. Sir, that means I will need to bring out both the developer unit and drum unit in order to get a proper measurement when moving the arm spacer of the drum unit towards the developer roller ? Secondly when I was servicing the drum unit, I used a white piece of cloth to clean the edges and side of the cleaning blade. According to your video, if I am reusing the Cleaning Blade I will need to apply toner to the edge of the Cleaning Blade. If I don't do so, will it have any effect ?

@@CETGroupUSAInc wow thank you sir. It work! I mean the adjustment of the arm spacer. Truly it was a big big error from me. I tampered with all of the arm spacer in all of the drum unit. I had to call an engineer who helped me to adjust all of the three arm spacer for Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Now, the developer doesn't spill developer to the OPC anymore. It seems balance now. Thank you sir for the idea. I knew I must have done something wrong but I didn't know the exact place that I got it all wrong. I never knew that I messed up the arm spacer for the drum units. The engineer also spot the errors I made while fixing the arm spacer. He told me the same thing that you told me, "NEVER TO LOSE THE SCREWS OF THE ARM SPACER BECAUSE THEY ARE FACTORY FITTED AND ONCE TAMPERED WITH, IT WILL TAKE A LOT TO WORK TO BALANCE IT BACK". Truly it gave us a tough time to balance it back. Thank you so much sir for the idea. "YOU ARE A GENIUS"

Regarding your question about drum cleaning blade lubrication, If you don’t apply toner to the edge of the reused drum cleaning blade the cleaning blade may flip during the machine getting ready or when printing the first several pages. If that has not happened, than it should be ok.

Now I understand how to remove the OPC drum, and the reason why toner is applied to the edges of the cleaning blade for both drum unit and image belt. I had the same experience on the image belt. I was wondering why after cleaning and installing it, the cleaning blade of the image belt flipped but I have solved it with your solutions. Once against sir, "YOUR ARE A GENIUS"

If you were rebuilding VersaLink B400/B405 series fuser and used the silicone oil from the oil application pad package, then try to re-apply the oil with the oil taken from the fixing film package (it looks yellowish). In some cases the yellowish oil from the fixing film package works better in VersaLink B400/B405 series fuser units. In Phaser 3610 / WorkCentre 3615 series both types of oil should work OK. Anyway, please double check the following: - proper attachment of the oil application pad cloth - proper assembling of the fixing film assembly - proper attachment of the springs that apply pressure between the upper roller and the fixing film - the surface of the fixing film and upper roller are cleaned from any oil with isopropyl alcohol All the above may cause the problem Good luck!

@@CETGroupUSAInc Regards, I cleaned everything and reapplied the oil. the fuser works fine 3 days and then it starts to wrinkle the paper. What fat do you recommend?

Check if there is any pieces of paper or other trash left in the paper path before the fuser unit, in the fuser unit and after the fuser unit. 2. It's possible the red silicone insert under the oil application pad cloth had some damage when you were rebuilding the fuser unit. If it was damaged, you may not resolve this issue as there is no replacement silicone insert available now. 3. Thoroughly clean the fuser unit metal entrance guide with acetone to remove any toner contamination. Check if the surface of the guide is smooth. 4. Thoroughly clean the fuser unit plastic exit guides with acetone to remove any toner contamination. Check if the ribs on both guides are smooth. 5. Clean the upper roller picker fingers with acetone to remove any toner contamination. Check if the picker fingers are not damaged and properly seated. 6. Clean the exit rollers and exit section guides, that are located in the machine (not in the fuser unit) with isopropyl alcohol. Good luck!

Yes, but If you leave the rear end plate attached to the drum unit, you may scratch the new OPC drum and damage the recovery blade when installing the new drum onto the drum axle. Thank you for your feedback!
