That's a great video, my respect! I have a question - is there any risk for the glued part to fall down in future? If so, should I apply a coat of glue like you do this in other videos? I would be super thankful for some clarification.

I would keep the Milliput in a plastic bags, using a vacuum machine, so no air can go in and make it dry. 🤗😍😍😍

Have you ever tried water glass (sodium silicate) it is liquid glass. It can glue both glass and porous ceramics. It is very alkaline so goggles and gloves are highly recommended.

Hi Allie, I’m in the US - they sell aradlite here but not in the configurations (a/b) on your video. They do have an epoxy mix, which I’m unsure will be as effective in sinking into the crack? I just want to be sure before I try to fix this crack in my favorite planter. Thanks, I enjoy your show and it’s very helpful.

It should be fine as long as it has been sanded and washed/cleaned.

Doesn't the color lighten or darken after it dries? I've learned so much from you. I've gotten the repairs down pat. The repainting to match is still a challenge. The color wet vs the color dry is still a challenge. Love watching your videos.

Great video, Ali. One thing I cannot find is how to remove superglue or old glue from porcelain or ceramic that is painted with no finish or lacquer. I have a figure that has some gnarly yellow stained superglue in a spot that was repaired but bled through another side and pooled on a small section. Using any kind of paint thinner or acetone will strip the paint away, is there anything you can recommend that will have the least amount of visual ware on the surface? I was thinking of a debonder, but some can eat through paints so a softer solution is needed.

Thank you for the video. After sanding it, then what? Does it need to be fired and painted and fired again? Thank you. I am repairing a very small chip in a bowl that my Mom made over thirty years ago. It means a lot to me. Of course, it is a bowl that one will eat out of, so it must be safe.

can you not place a balloon inside, then inflate it and the piece of ceramic has some where to rest on.overtime the balloon will deflate it self or a long needle can be incerted where the cable comes out. just a thought.😊😊😊

I’m trying to restore a Royal Worcester pattern“Evesham” China dish. I’ve reached the stage after filling in the crack/chip of not being able to find the correct white paint as the China is a white/grey/blue’ish color and even though there seems to be several whites on the market, which one in high gloss will be the most suitable? Also, will a high gloss varnish change the color of the white and work as a durable protector? Thank you, I would appreciate your input.

I really like the japanese tradition of using gold to repair it. The beauty of a piece is emphasized because it has more character and the break is part of the story of the piece.

Thank you very much for your reply. I will try the products you mentioned. The teacup has a very small chip where the gold trim is. The other piece is a serving bowl with a small chip on the edge. This will not come in contact with food. I will watch your other videos and let you know how my two pieces turn out. If anyone else has any suggestions, I welcome them.

Hi Ali, I recently found your channel and I really enjoy your videos! I have a few ceramic dishware with cracks/broken pieces that I think I can put back together now! I do have one question though, regarding my large serving bowl that has broken into two pieces. Each piece has a long crack in it, but it's not long enough to separate each broken piece into more broken pieces. I'm wondering whether I should complete the crack on each piece, causing them to break into more pieces, and then glue them all together, OR just ignore the cracks on the two large pieces and glue the bowl back together. I don't think I'm going to buy any filler in order to fill the crack and make it look like it was never broken.
