Just for understanding: I’ve got a 120 Hz monitor, set frame rate in NVIDIA settings to 30 and lossless scaling x4? I use DLSS DLAA mode and autofps. But it doesn’t work in VR. Right?

Are the 'stable 30 FPS' meant to be without use of native Frame Generation?

I'm using i5 12400F + RTX 3060 12GB, GPU usage doesn't go above 60-70% its heavily bottlenecking so I maxed the Graphics Settings to Ultra and use DLAA now the bottleneck is somewhat fix 😅

I almost exclusively fly heavy airliners from big airports and lot of AI traffic and this provides butter smooth flight every time..

I can vouch for lossless scaling program.. Best addon that gives your gpu another 3 to 4 extra years to upgrade.. I lock my fps at 15 using Riva tuner and do x4 to 60 fps which matches my 4k monitor 60hz..

We wan't this for VR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be a game changer

Should I use it with MSFS 2024?

I have a 12400F, 32GB, and 3070 OC. I set autofps to 40 FPS, I lock my fps to 60 in rivatuner, and then run lossless scaling at x2. This results in near constant 40 fps in the sim and constant overall 60 fps thanks to lossless scaling. All settings on high. On top of this, i set secondary scaling to 2.0 in user.cfg and enable DLSS performance and everything in the cockpit is sharp and quality. This has been my holygrail of settings thanks to this channel. Much appreciated!

When I use lossless scaling with MSFS2020, the sharpness and contrast get turned up to insane levels. IDK how to fix it

realy to bad this does not work with triple screens. only Nvidia surround.. but i dont do Nvidia surround.. on one screen it works realy good..

I skipped the 2 & 3 series and went from a 1080 (not a ti) to a 4090, waited until they came down in price over $1k after Covid, won't be looking for a 5 series. I'll wait longer for the 7 series!!

Does it fix the altitude and speed ghosting on the MFD?

Google search found that the square root of an altitude x 1.225 yields how far one can see on the horizon due to earth curvature. I set those results for my OLOD altitude values

Nothing. You can a $10 billion dollar computer hit if the game is not properly optimized, it won’t matter.

But what settings are we supposed to use in msfs 2020/2024? should dlss be turned off before using this mod? i have a consistent fps of 75 on msfs 2024 with dlss, but only 62 fps with msfs 2020.

makes me question why nvdia is saying that 3x frame gen is exclusive to 50 series

This small tool achieves what Nvidia couldn’t. It reliably doubles my framerate in MSFS 2020 with vertical synchronization. It works without noticeably increasing the load on my graphics card, unlike DLSS3, which causes my GPU to overheat and doesn’t support vertical synchronization, leading to micro stutters. This tool is worth every penny twice over.

The bottom line remains that all these visual tricks (Lossless, FG) give someone who has 30 plus FPS more smoothness and allows some people (still over 30 FPS) to turn up their settings. That's it, period. It doesn't help people (like me) who can't always stay above 30 FPS in certain situations (complex airliners in big metros with custom scenery). The killer app for us is AutoFPS to tank LOD while on or near the ground. THAT'S the true performance optimizer to break 30 FPS, then adding on LS or FG for smoothness on top. Again, the sim doesn't function well below 30 FPS. The flight model breaks down. This is why someone with a 1080 can't crank everything to ultra and use LS x3, because their native 10 FPS will say it's now at 30 FPS, but the sim will still be an unflyable stutter-fest. Why you turn the LS1 Scaling type on in the program? What does it do?

Too bad it doesn’t work on Linux. I could switch my handhelds to Bazzite, if it did.

It's Version 2.13.1 It is an awesome program though! Even when I'm chugging at 25fps at major airports, it increases frames to around 50-60 like a champ.

I reinstalled and still do not see LS 3.0? The version you are showing on the app is 2.1 but there is not LS3.0 in drop down?

Lsfg x2 gives me only 6 fps more then native it hasnt done this to me in 2.12 and 2.11 my fps was actually doubled

Hey! I am getting that black screen issue whenever I switch windows while using lossless scaling. For reference, I have one monitor, and use lossless scaling on the sim. The issue happens when I switch windows between say my browser and the sim. Coming back to the sim causes lossless scaling to "activate" back again, which causes the black screen for a couple seconds - this is rather jarring. Any suggestions for a fix?

Look closely, unless your getting 60 fps initially, it's snake oil.
