I love how he made up a story of how he broken his arm WITH Connor and not just him at his job by himself, I love how he makes a fake friendship for Connors family. and making what he wish was true come true to them.

I love this musical. He never meant to hurt people he just wanted a friend and a girlfriend. And I think even if he was angry on some level Connor understood that.

ok so i know that it would be so cute if they were really friends, but then the musical would be boring. the whole thing that makes it interesting is that evan is making up all this stuff about a boy he doesnt know, scared that people will find out. if they were actually friends the story would just be about a memorial.

It's sad because the entire song is a lie. And it's even sadder that in their one moment together in the library actually could've started their friendship. They really could've been friends and it went south quickly.
